New Alien: Covenant Featurette Shows Peter Weyland!

I dont get the time travel notion, where has that come from. The juggernaut shot just looks like the end of prometheus when it accelerated out the atmosphere. 

I wonder what part of the ship they are entering?

Here it is inverted to see it looks like the pilot's room walls and door.

By the looks of it, it could be the center of the ship, where the pilots seat is situated. It looks like the seat and the roundel is gone though...

Parkerparrot yes that is my thought as well.  I also was thinking it could be where the Urns were stored and dropped out of the ship?

I believe that is the Bombardment Door where the URNs are released. We saw in previous trailers that the crew find the bridge of the ship and the hologram of Shaw at the controls. I agree with Dave that the urns were stored there just as we saw in Prometheus...David drops them onto the Alien Beings below...

It's likely just arrival out of hyperdrive in high-atmot by the Juggernaut commandeered by Shaw and David. Human tech isn't to that level yet and human ships from all canon sources seem to have to have to come out with some room to spare, as a safety margin. The Engineers have had hyperdrive for an immensely long time, hence precise navigation and such.

David was likely a very early Production or pre-production prototype.

Correct- the time travel rule was vetted and unanimous!

so many things to ponder and answer.

1st the Ship, this would be when we get a shot of the Juggernaught entering Paradise in a Flash Back

Indeed Weyland looks between 40-50 in this scene this would put us in the year 2030-2040 which is around the time of the David 3 Model  which arrived in 2035 where Weyland would be 45 years old, and this Model is the time when the company deploy them internally to test human acceptance of cybernetics individuals.

Guy Pearce is 49 years old and he has had his hair done as he naturally has more grey than in the Alien Covenant Shot,  now we need to consider the Ted Talk he was playing a 33 Year Old Peter Weyland and David 1 came out in 2025 when Peter Weyland would be about 35 and to me this Scene in Alien Covenant Weyland looks older than 35, i would say he looks about 42 which would put the time as 2032 and so indeed i think this scene could be David 3 model.

But i would say indeed Weyland looks about 42-45 in this shot, which while puts the David models at David 3 we dont really know if this is that time or earlier, if it was earlier however say 2025 when David 1 came out then Guy Pearce does not look 2 years older than when he was in the Prometheus Red Talk 2023 Viral he looks 10 years older.

I will assume Area A either side in this image but the arrows point to other options at the bottom of where they are pointing but i think either Area A or the section next to them further away from the Center Pilot Chamber

We can clearly see it has been scared off by the blast, which is likely by the cloaked figure which is likely David and he nearly takes out one of the Covenant Crew LOL
