MemberChestbursterApr-19-2017 7:42 AMWhile watching some videos on YT I came across this:
The Real Secrets of Alien Covenant Leaked
I'm used to a lot BS on the net but with this one I was like "Was zum Henker...?!" (WTH).
I'm not very familiar with US-channels, yet I wonder how many actually believe this.
I know there are always lunatics but beside that, without words...

MemberChestbursterApr-19-2017 10:56 AM@Chris As do I, just never seen one based on a scifi movie, I think.
@Starlogger I don't take him seriously. I was just like "uhhmm....?!"

MemberTrilobiteApr-19-2017 11:04 AMMove along. He ranted about Prometheus back in 2012.
I could only tolerate 7 minutes. This guy's MO has always been Illuminati, globalists and NWO under every rock and behind every tree.

MemberOvomorphApr-19-2017 3:37 PMI'm a big fan of the journalist Jon Ronson, he wrote the Psychopath Test and Men Who Stare at Goats. In an early book on paranoid extremists he included a part that featured an attempt he and Alex Jones (then just a crank on a radio call in show) made to infiltrate a supposedly ritualistic meeting at 'Bohemian Grove'. Jon explains it as a rather mundane if bizarre weekend outing for millionaires with Skull & Bonesy rituals somewhat like the Masons. Jones, of course, tries to convince people into believing he saw actual people get sacrificed. He has since gone on to claim the Sandy Hook murders never happened and some of the families who lived through that tragedy had people Jones incited calling them at their homes and harrassing them and saying really unspeakable things. I like conspiracy theories as much as the next guy, hell this site is nothing but crackpot theories :), but he's a disgusting person making money off people that are mentally ill or too stupid to know better.

MemberPraetorianApr-19-2017 4:19 PMWow...well, there's some tidbits I can glean from the vid to inspire/develop some ideas I have.
But if Alex Jones is upset about ALIEN: Covenant, he's going to go full Red-Alert if he ever reads my works. :D
Hell, I might just send him a copy, just to see what fireworks I can light off. :D
Seriously though, dude needs to have a refresher in what SCIENCE FICTION is. :) Can't wait until he reads Martian Chronicles and ties Bradbury into Global Conspiracy. :D

MemberPraetorianApr-19-2017 4:35 PMI have some friends who actually make Alex Jones look flat-freaking boring by comparison. :)
Sent them the vidlink and even THEY think he's reading too much into a movie. They readily admit that R. Scott likely drew inspiration from such ideas and concepts as Ancient Astronaut Theory, but that's as far as it goes. :D

MemberTrilobiteApr-19-2017 4:37 PMWhat is alarming is that he holds a large enough audience to keep him afloat although I hear his popularity isn't what it used to be.

Only time I get a headache from Caffeine is when I experience caffeine withdrawal. I have never met anyone who got a headache from drinking any caffeine-rich beverage. :D
SO, he kinda screwed up on that also.

MemberFacehuggerApr-20-2017 3:30 AMThe thing about Alex Jones is that he is a double-edged sword.
On one hand you have the nut job conspiracy theorist...
Conspiracies are fun. I enjoy them for the most part and actually think some are more than plausible. There are things out there that certain people don't want the public to know. And these people do a great job at spreading ridiculous disinformation to detract from the real secrets. They pile on crazier and crazier bits of disinformation on top of legit conspiracies to make them seem even crazier. So by the time anyone mentions a conspiracy theory of some type, people automatically tune it out and think it's crazy. There are real conspiracies out there. But when you start mentioning aliens, reptilians, shapeshifters, etc..., you minimize the chance of anyone taking it seriously.
Alex Jones does talk about some legit conspiracies, but he also talks about the ridiculous false stuff that gets added to them. He panders to this crowd of people for the money. Which I can't blame him for, because if there's a market for a product, someone is going to fill that role. But it just makes his concern for the real conspiracies that are happening less genuine. That's the part of Alex Jones I don't like.
On the other hand, you have someone who talks about more legit news than most of the mainstream media outlets...
Mainstream news sources are declining. Most of them are left-leaning or funded by the leftist government, which means they won't talk about anything that doesn't support the agenda of the left, because they'd be out of business if they did. This makes it impossible for them to tell the objective truth. Sometimes they won't even touch stories that don't support the narrative of the left. And sometimes they just outright lie. This is why independent media and news sources are becoming more and more popular. Alex Jones, and Infowars in general, is an example of this. He covers stories that the mainstream media won't touch, and he does it objectively, for the most part.
As for the video in question... it's not the craziest thing I've heard, but a lot of it is a crock of shit. Is there an elite globalist group? I think so. Do they sometimes use media to further their agenda? Probably. And some of them might even believe that earth was seeded by aliens. But all the other stuff about outer space like aliens, terraforming planets, ascension, mutagens, and super humans is a crock of shit, IMO.
So yeah, Alex Jones covers both extreme ends of the spectrum. He's a conspiracy theorist nutjob and an objective news analyst at the same time. He is indeed a weird guy. I'm sure a lot of people think he's totally crazy and wouldn't consider him a legit news source due to some of the conspiratorial stuff he covers, which is totally understandable. But if you can wade through the craziness, I think some of what he says has value.

MemberTrilobiteApr-20-2017 3:37 AMUnfortunately, I was into AJ early on and bought some of his DVDs. I noticed how ALL of them became the same movie- down to footage and quotes- of his Illuminati and NWO rants. He has zero credibility and only stirs shit to whip the stupid into a lather. It would be funny if it weren't dangerous.
Blackwinter-witch
MemberPraetorianApr-20-2017 3:53 AMwell, in any event, Alex Jones's true believers will help swell the box office numbers which helps the ALIEN franchise, so I'm good with that element.
But I REALLY wish the conspiracy folks would get some new material...it's always the same, tired old tales of reptilians, greys, annunaki, etc, etc, etc..

MemberOvomorphApr-20-2017 4:12 AMAlex Jones, just saying his name makes me laugh cause I visualize him all wild eyed and babbling about globalists, builderberger hitmen, hobbit homes, FEMA camps and like, catheters he sells out of his trunk that are guaranteed not to contain some type of chemical that all others do!
Type of guy who would make a sex tape with Kellyann Conway, leak it to the press, label it a false flag operation designed to prevent him from speaking about something he witnessed at bohemian grove, then finger Piers Morgan as the ring leader.
