MemberFacehuggerApr-28-2017 3:38 PMIt is soon going to be that magic time when Alien Covenant is released. There has been some awesome stuff on the marketing of this movie, so while the tension grows in anticipation of the release of this movie, my big question is this. Will Alien Covenant be a bigger box office hit than Prometheus?

MemberNeomorphApr-30-2017 12:47 AMIn The US it will probably fare slightly better than Prometheus. Very front loaded and lacking good legs because of the crowded market and the limitations imposed by the R rating. On the opening week, it will likely make between 75 and 80 million. At the end of its run it will manage to make at least 200 million domestically and another 400 million internationally, for a total of about 600 million.

MemberOvomorphMay-17-2017 10:38 AMboth of these predictions are way too high. As much as I would like to see Alien: Covenant to do well in the box office, it wont be that high. In it's domestic weekend it will open to around $35M and have a domestic run of around $120M. Internationally it should fare slightly better, making around $175-200M and overall it should be around the $350M worldwide. Easy.
