I have the 6 pack i mean Keg Belly to show for it.
Does come in hand saving money as friends got it to help as they thought i would love to make my own and saves Money when i have not had much work last 12-18 months... Bugger hold down a Job with 10-15 hours sleep a week.

Nice job, BigDave !!
Hubby and I experiment with homebrewing as well, also home distilling (very small scale, so there's no legal troubles as we have a License) as hubby is trying to perfect a Bourbon recipe he developed.
IN SPACE THERE IS NO WARNING
BD - St Austell and Fullers man myself :)
And am most partial to a drop of single malt!
Cheers, good sir!
Lots of good stuff out there but I am no beer snob. I like Henry Weinhard's as a regular and I don't care how much you laugh!
I moved over from extract-brewing to all-grain brewing about 7 years ago, but you can definitely make some great beer with an extract kit. Best advice I can give is to opt for a blow-off tube into a bucket of sanitizer solution for your fermenter/carboy instead of messing with airlocks, just in case the krausen goes bonkers.
Best of luck, BigDave! Cheers!
