TY! I've always loved that quote, it sums the Alien up so chillingly. :)

Blackwinter-witch Agreed. I think Ripley's quote summed up the crux of the Company's agenda vs Humanity's protest of being sold out in general. A quote that can encompass politics, theology and ethics.

I agree totally with you about Ripley's quote!! I love how she compares Humans to Aliens and manages to make us sound worse :)

@BWW - That too, is my favorite.  It's so hard to pick one, and after a good watching marathon I will probably pick another favorite, lol.

Love it in ALIEN when Parker and Brett are fixing things on Nostromo and Brett says something like "Nah, shouldn't have landed on this damn ball" Cracks me up every time :)

this quote is haunting and very informative while being mysterious at the same time....it tells us this things is something beyond our comprehension and understanding and contains such a foreboding message without actually saying it. That this creature is the embodiment of death..but yet hints at so much more, leaving the audience to want and desire to know or understand what this thing is and where it came from etc

Aliens is basically a whole quote fest, but Alien has a lot of equally memorable and powerful quotes. 

Hard to decide, one of my favorites is: 

"We ain't outta here in ten minutes we won't need no rocket to fly through space" 

It's got a wonderful defense mechanism. You dont dare kill it!
