MemberOvomorphMay-03-2017 8:33 PMAt one point there were reports that James Cameron had read Blomkamps A5 script and was very impressed. Now there are reports that Ridley Scott claims there was never a complete script, it was more like a written pitch of only 10 pages. Hence the question.....WHO'S LYING?

MemberFacehuggerMay-09-2017 8:50 PMTruthfully I believe Ridley Scott's latest statements about the project that he was fine, was set to produce, it was going to be called "Awakening" - which by the by is Sir Ridley 's title to his next prequel after Alien: Covenant - "Alien: Awakening" is his next chapter so to speak. At any rate he stated it was Fox that put the kibosh on the whole project and tge studio has been behind the on again off again crap. Can we all say Alien3?!?! I foresee that happening yet again if Fox ever does finally green light this project. Shame really. All they're interested in is another abysmal AVP movie - dear whatever you feel is holy, please make that stop! Ahh well. Anyway that's my take on where everything stands for now. Just how I feel it's been handled or better put MIShandled! Lady Anne ^^ö^^

How could the two stories have been similar when Blomkamp's was gonna follow "Aliens" and bring back Ripley, Hicks, and Newt....and Scott's was gonna be another prequel to the original "Alien" movie?

MemberOvomorphMay-15-2017 6:33 PMMajesteen: Having a little trouble understanding your response, 'cause (1) My question was with regard to the fact that conflicting comments were made by Cameron and Scott.....and (2) Ridley is a producer/director and not an actor, so was NEVER a cast member.
