Indeed there are a number of things from TV Spots etc that never made it to the movie, and i dont recall the Xenomorph as shown in that OT in the movie.
I think this looks really cool. It reminds me of a stylized version of the covers of a lot of pulp magazines from the 50's and 60's. A retro-futuristic vibe.
