MemberTrilobiteMay 13, 2017What if you knew someone who just likes going to movies in general and was unfamiliar with the Alien franchise but wanted to tag along? Would you take that person with you to see AC? Personally, I would buy them a ticket to watch anything else during that time frame so that I wouldn't hear stuff like- "Why is David so mad?" and BS stuff like that.
I would and have. :) So long as they whisper I don't mind the occasional question, but courtesy of other patrons is 1st rule with me.

You are kinder than I am. That is why I wait for blue rays. Sometimes a quiet phrase is uttered that is important later and I like to rewind to hear it. Having someone asking questions during those times is infuriating to me.
I always end up re-watching movies I like many times, so if I miss something, I know it's a tidbit I'll catch later. :)
Mainly, I take the queries as a sign the person I've brought is Interested, and don't wish to harm that.

Blackwinter-witch You have the patience of Job. I could not tolerate a casual movie watcher sitting next to me during a movie and series I tracked for years.
TY, but I must temper what I've said with stating that there's some people, who are TOTAL fans and friends that I would NEVER go to the theater with, as they comment on EVERYTHING, and provoke their own death by manual strangulation :D

Of course. I'd want any friend to indulge in a franchise I enjoy whether they're familiar with it or not. Most don't bother asking questions until after the fact and even if they did the I'd likely see the movie again anyway--Especially if it's in a franchise I thoroughly enjoy.
I can understand getting moderately annoyed by that stuff, but the occasional question if that? Seems a little bipolar to get upset at something like that.
Send them to see Guardians of the Galaxy lol.Got no patience for questions
Nothing the God of biomechanics wouldn't let you in heaven for
ninXeno426 Yeppers! Nice to see you back!
G. H. (Gman With due respect- I want minimal or no interruptions to my movie watching- or even watching daily news for that matter.
@dk yes, I would IF it were the "right" friend! Like @BWW I don't mind the occasional whispered question, but anyone who 1) has EVER been known to flash a cell phone during a movie or, 2) someone who makes noise constantly during a movie, whether biological or not, is NOT allowed near me. I have had physical altercations with morons who insist on looking at their Phone(s) during movies. That is my NUMBER 1 movie pet peeve. Hell, people are too connected to them already, if they can't shut em down for 2 hours, then they need to wait on the home release, no matter what.
I don't know if I would buy their ticket, assuming this is friends and not a date, but if someone wanted to come and didn't know anything about the franchise I wouldn't tell them no.
Sure, the more people I can turn on to Ridley's Alien Universe the better...hasn't happened yet mind! :(
