I will be doing my review once the 22nd is here so as i dont influence people in going to see it and well so i dont do any spoilers out of the respect for those in the USA who will not see it until Thursday/Friday.

Using your scoring system which is different to mine as i score out of 100... for more variation... if i use a 5* Rating System they are as follows. With my system after

5/5 Alien (89%)

4/5 Aliens (83%)

3/5 Alien 3 (68%)

2/5 Alien Resurrection (50%)

3/5 Prometheus (72%)

3/5 Alien Covenant (66%)

If i include the AVP Movies then

3/5 AVP (2.5 really) (50%)

2/5 AVP Requiem (30%)

Still DVD`S in Sweden.

I'm surprised you felt that. I think Aliens, for example, is a better ending in the franchise. And in general, something like The Usual Suspects, Inception, or even The Matrix, for example, have better endings. That of course is merely my own opinion, but I think many others will struggle to call Alien: Covenant's ending "the best ever".

U2-fan Welcome and thanks for the short spoiler free review! I am the same- I might watch in the theatre but will preorder and pick it apart at home long after the cool group at work has seen it.

I also agree about A3- it gets better with age.

I still have to wait over a week before I get to go see AC.

I was so upset at A3 when it first came out, but now I like it so much, I watch it more than Alien or Aliens.

First I would like to say that I was talking about if friends ask me if they should go and see the Movie my answer would not be a clear "yes". You guys (Alien fans) should absolutely see it! Sorry if that was not clear.

@clovenberg2 Yes, we can still buy DVD/BlueRays which I do and I buy a digital copy on iTunes. I'm a collector and like to hold stuff I buy :)

@Stan Winston With "ending" I am talking about the very minute until Wagner is selected till the credits roll. We are talking about the last 2-3minutes of the Movie. Do you know what I mean? Otherwise I would also hold the final struggle to be better in Aliens than Alien: Covenant. The ending in Covenant is just shilling and really got to me as it did to others that I Went with.

@dk Thank you! Yeah, just like Alien 3 got better (especially the alternate version) Alien Res got worse. I actually think the first half of Alien Res is top notch but the second half...

We've had a very cold spring in Sweden but summer is here now and will not help ticket sales togheter with poor reviews. Swedes go crazy when the sun is out :) Bad timing.

I think AC Ending was interesting...  it was a Twist, but it was predictable but those who look into it deep will miss the main twist...  MUTHUR and while there are some Plot Holes to some parts of the ending... its just a device that is needed to push the movie forwards.

The Ending does raise a few Problems for a Sequel which i wont get into here as to not spoil the movie... and should have been done a bit different......  Lets hope we get no more Shaw/Hicks/Newts for the next movie.

As for Alien i agree the last part when the Queen came aboard was good, but after that it was Typical Hero Movie Ending... that however Alien 3 showed us was not so Happy in the end.

Alien 3 Ending if felt was very good...  but it kind of did end the Franchise there... as far as Ripley Goes...  but the next movie could still had explored the Derelict..

I wonder if Ripely will appear in the next few movies.. as 12-13 year old... or Time Travel lol .. For me Ripley is a small part of the Franchise.... The Xenomorph, David and AI and Engineers are the bigger parts
