MemberOvomorphMay-20-2017 3:22 PMWhat ended up happening to the footage shown at CinemaCon? I haven't seen the film but isn't the Engineer genocide not in it?

MemberPraetorianMay-20-2017 7:44 PMThis is an excellent point Bimie_James.
Many of the descriptions that we have read regarding footage released to small audiences such as CinemaCon wasn't in the movie.
That is why I'm still holding out hope that the Alien: Covenant sequel was filmed at the same time as Alien: Covenant.
Ridley Scott said this would go into production "within" 14 months, not beginning in 14 months. I don't see how that schedule works with the actor's availability, filming, etc...and ready for production "within" 14 months.

MemberFacehuggerMay-20-2017 9:54 PMjoylitt, he is talking about the leaked 10min footage shown at CinemaConvention. It was basically the entry to the Engineer's planet, the backburster scene and the Engineer bombing. Plenty of us downloaded our own copies. I couldn't bring myself to watch it, so waited for the movie.

MemberFacehuggerMay-20-2017 9:58 PM@Inginiero. There is a pre-production phase and I doubt that the survivors in Covenant will not be available for the next Alien prequel.

MemberOvomorphMay-21-2017 3:50 PM@Tonehound Wait, was the bombing leaked? Dammit I had no idea about any leak before release.

MemberOvomorphMay-21-2017 3:59 PMNever mind I found the scene. Is it in the film though? Still unsure about that.
