As far as it goes, what do you expect Sir Ridley to do in terms of Alien/Prometheus from now on?

I think he'll just make only one more now, connecting it to the Engineer ship on LV 426.

To deliver some surprises...

1.) Connect the dots properly (Canon)

2.) Ask "experts" how things are done/designed (Military, Engineers, Shipwrights, Scientists etc.)

3.) Tell the story in a way that even Donald Duck understands. Nudges and hints for a "deeper" meaning are ok but shouldn't be the main element of storytelling. People don't like movies they don't understand.

4.) Get a decent writer. Preferably someone who was around in the 70ties. 

5.) Don't limit it to ~2 hrs playtime.

6.) Use gore carefully. Tons of blood rarely equals a good movie.

7.) Decent character development. 

8.) Try artists from outside the movie industry like '78  (Gutalin, Filip Acovic etc.)

That's all I can think of right now. ;)

Nothing. Fox is not letting Ridley waste any more of their money.

I wouldn't be surprised that Fox had Sir Ridley make a ton of changes and concessions because they were holding the purse strings...
