Alien Prequel Book Synopsis

Sounds horrible. I wanted to find out what happened to Shaw or at least see Shaw and David's journey explored more.  To paraphrase Obi Wan Kenobi "that book was my last hope".  I am now officially DONE with Alien.  It was fun talking with y'all, look after yourselves everyone, it's a dangerous world out there!

I'm off to watch Prometheus - the last great "Alien" movie - and drool over (and mourn the loss of) the wonderful Elizabeth Shaw, dearly departed, who was taken from us too soon.

I think this is further proof that RS/FOX are done with the Engineers and Dr Shaw....  this is a Prequel to the Reason behind the Covenant Ship Mission.

so this part may be interesting, i wonder what way they are playing the Yutani link as my Prometheus 2 was mainly about the company and conspiracy and espionage about 60-65% while there was about 20-25% Dr Shaw/David and 10-15% Engineer that would lead to a sequel that would cover these more. 

while we can hope that the technologically advanced saboteurs  are Engineers lol... this would be a Plot Hole

And so to me its seems likely Synthetics... i wonder if they had taken off my Yutani Synthetics ideas from my Prometheus 2 LOL

But yep... seems the Prequels are about AI and its Role rather than Xenomorph... AC does set this up also... but they have to be careful how they fully explore the whole AI involvement..

And i hope no Lazy Plot... such as Oh My... David behind the Scenes has uploaded himself everywhere like Sky-Net and he sent the Covenant to where he was... etc etc.

Ha Ha.... we can only hope.... but i wont be banking on it ;)

I was really trying hard to have a positive outlook for upcoming Alien movies and books. After reading this, now I am back to consuming large quantities of Package Store bottom-shelf specials...

And yes, that plot leaves a lot to be desired, I'll just have to write my own novelisation about David and Shaw and the Engineers. If you want something done right, do it yourself!

So was Branson murdered at the beginning of Covenant?

Somehow his sleep chamber  just happened to be stuck and then burst into flames? Maybe it was rigged that way and there is still a murderer aboard the Covenant.

Reminds a bit of the "Rage War". The Founders/Rage also use highly advanced droids to infiltrate and sabotage.

so maybe a bit more info on Daniels, Jacob Branson and Lopé...curious as to who he signs on...and makes me wonder if there will be anything xenomorph related at all in it.
