I think that the other fellow was half-joking about casting Kojima. I'm sure that he's a interetsing/successful guy, but these movie roles require actors with a solid resume, and some real gravitas. In real-life you get business juggernauts like Mark Zuckerberg, but those people don't make good models for characters in action/horror movies.

He's not an actor.
Kojima likes Covenant and has given the film much praise, and to Ridley his latest effort. Yes, he is very successful, in the video game industry.

Ummm, yes they do.

MemberFacehuggerJun-17-2017 11:52 AMLook, somebody suggested that he could play the role... that's why we're talking about him. Being involved in the video game industry wouldn't make him at qualified for a leading or even a supporting role in a motion picture. Actors and actresses spend many years training and climbing the ladder. Him not being an actor doesn't give him a free pass to be a noob, but somehow show up in a film and fumble his way through it.
NOBODY wants to pay good money to see a Zuckerberg fight off aliens. We want Arnie and Biehn. Big investors like FOX want the movie to make money, not flop at the box office.

MemberFacehuggerJun-17-2017 3:35 PMI wanna see Mark zukerberg getting eaten by aliens.

MemberPraetorianJun-19-2017 6:53 AMGreat topic Ripleys_Ghost. I am also very excited that the story is moving to explain more of the Yutani Corporation. You list a great set of actors above but I narrowed it down to these four:
Ken Watanabe
Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa
Takeshi Kitano
James Hong
Has anyone done the math or stumbled on intel that gives us the date that the Covenant left Earth for Origae-6?

MemberNeomorphJul-30-2017 5:26 AMid have the actor be middle aged, sharp looking and can carry the pat of an AI off well. id love there to be a side story that the yutani company sees the merger as an opportunity to destroy weyland from within so place an AI at the head of the negotiations and the company to infiltrate weyland. this would then lead into a nice back story for Ash and what happened later on between synthetics and humans. would also open up the possibility of another movie between alien3 and resurrection as to what happened to earth as we see its been quite decimated at the end of resurrection. I think Watanbe or Sanada would have the look on screen for the part

MemberChestbursterJul-30-2017 7:19 AMEasy choice for me:
Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa

Dr. Curt Connors
MemberChestbursterJul-30-2017 7:48 AMOf all the names that were mentioned by the author of this thread Ken Watanabe if they are making these movies serious like they used to be and not laughable like they are now. But fuck it Lopan, James Hong, because he is hilarious and he's in Blade Runner and he's f**king Lopan!

MemberPraetorianJul-30-2017 9:47 AMThank you Starlogger.
Yes Dr. Curt Connors. Hong is more than great. I watched Big Trouble in Little China more than 100 times.
Dr. Curt Connors
MemberChestbursterJul-30-2017 10:43 AM@Ingeniero Hell yeah Big Trouble in Little China is by far my favorite Carpenter film! Followed by The Thing!
