Aww, thanks Ati, you're sweet. But, I'm pretty sure pregnant ladies of old had to protect their young from lions and stuff - we didn't evolve to live a fear free life.

Plus, when I sleep I always have nightmares regardless. My subconscious will either contrive them out of the mundane or the outlandish.

I've always preferred the outlandish, because fantastical scenarios produce less anxiety than plausible ones, once I wake up. :)

Haa! :) They are not saccharine at all, but seeing your present nightmarish condition I didn't want to suggest French horror movies. :D

(Also, my nightmare condition persists regardless of movie genre.

But, I can either have nightmares about semi-believable stuff like...one of my students dying because I ate peanut butter and didn't wash my hands well enough...or...about xenomorphs and other crazy stuff.

I prefer the crazy and easily dismissed to the believable :)

Hmmmmmm... Lemme remember... Here's one:

I once had a  weird dream where I was wandering inside the engineer temple on LV-223. After hours of walking I came across a large door, and when I got closer to it, I heard some noises coming from inside the room, so I opened it. When the doors opened I had something to see. Inside the room were Engineers partying and dancing like they were drunk.

They were dancing like this

To this SONG, or this ONE ( I can't really remember)

As they were dancing, I was standing at the entrance with a confused look on my face, and soon closed the doors.

I also had another dream related to alien but I don't really remember it.

Those look pretty good! The second one, I am really confused as to what the plot is, but it seems like the kind of thing I'd like to keep on in the background while I do chores.

Did you really have that dream!? Because that is really hilarious! I started laughing out loud in this cafe. Isn't it odd how we never question bizarre settings in dreams? Why didn't you join their party!?

I had another very brief Alien dream recently (ironically, it was one of my rare, non-scary dreams) --

David was having a birthday party, then Elon Musk showed up and called David "the next big visionary".

The dream ended with me seeing Walter wake up, stranded on Planet 4. Walter woke up and said (to no one in particular) "I had a nightmare that Elon Musk went to David's birthday."

I'm not quite a social person to join them (not easy being an aspie), well not while they were in a drunken state.

Lately I've been dreaming all kinds of f#$%ed up dreams.

Once when I showed Alien: covenant trailer to my friend he was like "Meh" like it wasn't scary. But when I asked him should we then go see it he looked me with a scared look on his face and said "NO". The thing was, he didn't want to see it because he was afraid that the engineers might be in it. The last engineer from prometheus gave him nightmares. And he told me about one dream he had.

The dream was the engineer was chasing him through the city and won't stop until he had his heart. And while he was chasing him he killed everyone on his way by delivering a fatal blows to their chests, sending them flying across the street.

But his dream inspired me to make this

Are you actually?? I am too! I was finally diagnosed when I was 12.

(Waaay back in 1998, even before the diagnosis was widely known -- thanks to my dad pulling some strings to get a temporary assignment near enough to Johns Hopkins to take me there for evaluation and OT. Before that they thought I had "right hemisphere brain damage". Love my dad, he moved Heaven and Earth for me.)

Haha, ok, this is kind of like two synthetics of the same model crossing paths. Then you also know what it is like to never take a merely passing interest in anything ever?

Our hobbies tend to be pretty intense obsessions, so I suspect quite a few of us spend a lot of time on boards like this.

Yeah, this is an old thread, but I did have an Alien dream meant for a collaborative video that never happened a few years ago.

I pushed the snooze button a few times like normal, got out of bed, did the morning routine and went upstairs to grab some coffee and my lunch for work. As I walked upstairs, I could hear the coffee pot hissing like it does when it's almost done. I walked into the kitchen to see that a Xenomorph towered over me and blocked my path into the kitchen. The hissing was from the Xenomorph. It got in my face hissing and drooling.....then I woke up and realized it was only a dream- but it was very realistic.
