Could Awakening Be The First Male Led Alien Film?

If you saw the Advent video, you'll know that Daniels giving birth to the xeno queen is implied. Of course "Queen" could also refer to other things, but i'll assume it's the "b*tch" for the sake of this discussion.

If they follow through the "War Of The Worlds" scenario that Ridley mentioned, they'll want many aliens. So the queen could appear early on, if that's the case, Daniels won't be the lead character. Unless something forces David to pick someone else.

The main complaint about Daniels is that she's a Ripley "rehash". I doubt they'd give us yet another strong female lead because of the complaints and comparisons to Ripley.

So unless someone else births the queen, they'll get another lead and that lead could be a male.

If Daniels stays the lead, i imagine she'd carry the queen till the end of the movie and sacrifice herself ala Alien 3. She could also extract it medpod-style. Or like said before, she won't be host to the queen. Carrying the queen or extracting it have already been done before and hence their improbability.

I just think it's a discussion to be had.
