Alien/Covenant Music Videos?

MemberChestbursterAugust 10, 2017So...I've got friends who like to make anime music videos. I've never been inspired to make one myself but...can we do likewise with Covenant (and other Alien movies)??? Or would there be some big copyright problem?
If you could fangirl/fanboy out and make a Covenant (or other Alien movie) music video, what would yours be like and what song would you use??
I've got two inside my mind right now:
one using Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Bad Moon Rising", it would be about the general disaster that befell the Covenant crew.
and the other, a character study of Walter using Pentatonix's version of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" . :)

For the feelings of being lost and overwhelmed in an alien world, anxiety creeping and taking over I would choose The National - Terrible Love.
"He survived, he’s now in Disneyland in Orlando, and no way am I going back there. How did he end up in Disneyland? I saw him in Disneyland, Jesus Christ!"
For the Advent clip exploring David's experiments I'd pick
TOOL - Schism
It is disturbingly eerie when the lyrics are looked at applied to the relationship between David and Shaw.
That and Guitarist Adam Jones was a student of the late Stan Winston Studio and worked on several of the Alien and Predator sets!!
Wow, good pick! "It takes an ocean not to break" it really captures the feeling of hopelessness one would experience in that situation. I'd put a bunch of really intense scenes like Oram's facehugging near the end where the song reaches a crescendo!
Gosh dang! That song really is eerily perfect for the David/Shaw situation! The lyrics are very David. I can really imagine a video for this using clips from Advent.
Thank you. I would use also the Neomorphs and the facehugger that got Lope and the Lander One explosion.
I would probably use as well David when getting out of the cathedral as Walter, looking back inside towards the Protomorph then running to the cargo lift. That's one of my favorites scenes of the movie.
And at the end I would show Walter wandering alone on the empty Paradise
"He survived, he’s now in Disneyland in Orlando, and no way am I going back there. How did he end up in Disneyland? I saw him in Disneyland, Jesus Christ!"
Yes! The explosion, the neomorph and the Lope facehugger scene would be perfect for the intense part of the song as well!
Man, I can really picture this video in my head now. Picturing Walter wandering alone on the empty paradise at the very end literally gave me chills.
I really wish we had some footage like that! I would definitely want to use them in my Walter Hallelujah video. Maybe someone with technical knowledge could splice something together from existing scenes.
You know, while we're at it, there really should be a video using "Country Roads"! I'm not sure we'd have enough footage of Shaw to make her the focus, but the entire crew of the Covenant was probably pretty homesick, so we could use it for a video about any of them.
Great topic! I have so many!
From Enigma - The Fall of a Rebel Angel (2017):
Enigma - Amen:
Ati i like your choices and I've never heard of Röyksopp. so thank you :)
IRaptus - I'm happy, it means you like European music! :)
My big favourite from Röyksopp is What Else Is There:

Another song from Neo with a familiar moment from Alien:
Neo - Spellbound:
@Ati
Thanks!!!
Wow, just gave the Enigma song a listen! I tried to embed it but it didn't work for some reason. :(
Very haunting and beautiful song! Would your video focus on a specific character? I could see that song working well for a video about Daniels.
Even if none of us ever gets around to making music videos, I think I'm going to turn these into a playlist of "Songs that Remind me of Covenant", lol.
I haven't listened to your two Röyksopp suggestions yet, but I know Röyksopp used to have this song called "Remind Me" which had a video that showed a bunch of every day stuff broken into it's component parts, and showing where it originated... like...little labels would pop out of everything like factory specs.
Anyhow, my husband showed that video to me back in 2007 when we were dating, and I became semi-obsessed with it and would watch it endlessly on repeat.
Found the Röyksopp video I was telling you about!

It would not work for a Covenant video at all, lol. But, it's really an excellent video.
VivisectedEngineer - 'Would your video focus on a specific character?'
No, it wouldn't. I'd use them as background...
'...but I know Röyksopp used to have this song called "Remind Me" which had a video that...'
Yes, I know it. That's a very old song. :) I think you'll like the ones linked by me.
This could be a David song:

"He survived, he’s now in Disneyland in Orlando, and no way am I going back there. How did he end up in Disneyland? I saw him in Disneyland, Jesus Christ!"
I would make something like this

or this
Songs would be some of these ( I love god is an astronaut) :
God is an astronaut- when everything dies
God is an astronaut- from dust to beyond
"Abs are not a sign of power, it's just a sign you don't eat enough."-JF Caron
Great recommendations Dark Nebula, especially:
Prometheus - God Is An Astronaut - Suicide By Star
Wonderful topic VivisectedEngineer.
If I could choose...it would be a music video about Dr. Shaw and David 8 to Erasure's Magic Moments. For sure.
Wow- lots of good stuff here. I would say just about any NIN songs could fit in with some part of the movie.
I saw old Trent after he toured with David Bowie dk. It was something to see NIN in a club. Great recommendation.
