MemberFacehuggerAug-17-2017 5:59 AMlol joylitt, I still love Prometheus, but sometimes I feel the dialogue a little bit stupid. The film creates a bigger universe and timeline which I really appreciate. However, as a movie viewing experience, I enjoy Covenant more.

MemberXenomorphAug-17-2017 6:04 AMJonesy what was finally the point of Charlize Theron being in Prometheus?
Ms. Vickers was an android and will be sent by Weyland-Yutani to confront David in the next movie?

MemberChestbursterAug-17-2017 8:42 AMalthough prometheous is slightly better, alien covenant is more entertaining so covenant. love them both though. prometheous would probably get an 8.5/10 and alien covenant would get an 8/10.

I always saw these movies as Yin and Yang. One provides something the other doesn't but still be an amazing experience.
Only from sheer intensity and the whole body clenching experience I get from Covenant I would pick that one. It truly was an experience like no other movie in a long time (Since The Witch). I tend to praise movies that move me physically and Covenant did that in spades! I would rank that up there with many of the best movies that moved me like Black Swan, Take Shelter, Melancholia, and Antichrist.
Prometheus is no pushover either. It took a second watch to really love it (exactly like Blade Runner) and it has only gotten better since. The color and beauty is at 11 here instead of the dread and intensities like Covenant. Both are such wonderful films and I am happy to have the DVD for both!

Alien:Covenant is hard core...what a ride...Going to have to watch it another 20 times before I can put in a verdict.

O_O Oh man! Now I can't decided whether I should wait to watch it with my friends, or go ahead and dive into the extras without them, lol.

MemberPraetorianAug-17-2017 6:03 PMGood to see a mix of Covenant and Prometheus likers. Shows both films have their merits :)

MemberFacehuggerAug-18-2017 6:40 AMPrometheus 100%. The plot actually does something. Covenant is fun but aside from David getting on board with the facehugger embryos, there is very little plot movement. Covenant = more deaths. Prometheus = mystery and pure sci fi

MemberFacehuggerAug-18-2017 1:37 PMI think this trilogy is going to be like Lord of the Rings and Star Wars once they're finished: each one building on the last. They can't really stand very well on they're own, rather they are 3 parts to one, whole story. You can't watch one without watching the rest
