I think it is a brilliant work.
Origae-6:

Another work by him:
'Creature design & Zbrush training based on the well known Alien (H.R Giger). I tried to keep the original Giger's touch with a personal approach.'
Xenomorpher:

Thanks for sharing this.

MemberChestbursterSep-24-2017 9:22 AMI theorized that Origae-6 would look similar to a wasteland. The shot he did shows that I'm not the only one that thinks that.
So, is this after humans settled it or is that thing alien architecture or some form of alien transportation?

MemberFacehuggerSep-24-2017 9:35 AMSome nice talent on show there. But I don’t like the repeated orthogonal juggernaut motif. It’s really not so spooky as Giger’s original.
if I had a bit of artistic talent, I’d like to create a ‘male’ version of the juggernaut, complete with a triple phallus. But I can’t ever see Fox creating a craft like that, slipping seductively into the embrace of Giger’s juggernaut. Gotta worry about prime time US broadcasts where you can’t even show a female nipple, ffs. But it would certainly be true to Giger’s sexualised imagery.

Yea, I thought when David and Shaw's juggernaut connected with the mother juggernaut was a bit to normal. The ship's front just bumped into the mother juggernaut. I more penetrating connection would have been better like you describe.

MemberFacehuggerSep-24-2017 11:00 AMBoth are fantastic pieces of artwork; the artwork isn't necessarily troublesome, but it helps reduce the sense that the Alien universe is metaphorical

MemberDeaconSep-24-2017 5:44 PMi like the Origae-6 one as it looks to me like a Engineer Space Station that has been destroyed and landed on the Surface...
I however dont like the Origae-6 reference, i think its a bit to coincidence that the Prometheus Crew go off to a World that the Engineers used as a Outpost, to then have the Survivors off to a World that the Engineers inhabit and then a Human Ship just happens to end up being within 7 Weeks Travel from this place...
To then have it the Human Crew of the Covenants original destination is also by Pure Coinsidence another Engineer World... or World they interacted with.
I am not a fan of this... but i think it could be what FOX are going for... where the only way this would make better sense would be if we are shown that WITHOUT the Engineers/Their Creators... NO WORLD would be Habitable and so every Habitable World would have had to had been Terra-formed by the Engineers/Hierarchy.
This does not rule out Engineers/Hierarchy Creations someday Terra-forming their own Worlds.... like Weyland Does.

MemberDeaconSep-24-2017 5:46 PMThe second image, i like the Effort but the whole design i am not a fan of, not how it appears.. but i can kind see maybe using this as a influence to bring in another Race to bridge the Gap Between Xenomorph Origins (Black Goo) and Engineer Bio-Tech.
Thus having Engineers Steal Technology from another Race who have some Aesthetics of this image only less Mechanical maybe?

'i like the Origae-6 one as it looks to me like a Engineer Space Station that has been destroyed and landed on the Surface...'
Agreed, beyond doubt, we see ruins...

MemberPraetorianSep-25-2017 3:24 PMHere is a zoom of the central portion where it meets the ground.
There are root-like structures at the base. Good work, nice detail.

I thought Origae-6 is well mapped and they know what is there? They seemed to know it was a good fit for a colony. ?
Of course AI/Weyland-Yutani could be sending them to the Origae system because they know something is there? and AI/WY have been lying to them("it's perfect for a colony! Go build your cabin!")...Conspiracy angle.

Yes, I agree with you, I think something similar is in the background.
