For those unfamiliar with the Australian Thriller/Horror franchise Wolf Creek which sports two feature films and now a TV series, Season 2 is about to Premiere.

Wolf Creek is an Australian horror film/Tv franchise, co-produced, and directed by Greg McLean, and starring John Jarratt. The story revolves around backpackers who find themselves taken captive and after a brief escape, hunted down by Mick Taylor in the Australian outback. The film was ambiguously marketed as being "based on true events"; the plot bore elements reminiscent of the real-life murders of tourists by Ivan Milat in the 1990s and Bradley Murdoch in 2001.

Alien Covenant star Tess Haubrich who played Rosenthal is set to headline the Season 2 cast pitting herself against the ruthless and unsympathetic Taylor who has her in his sights.

Following a breakout role in Alien: Covenant earlier this year, Tess Haubrich is returning to home soil, starring in the new season of the iconic Wolf Creek franchise. In the Stan original series, Haubrich plays Rebecca, who, along with her husband, is one of the travellers touring the Aussie outback before the villainous Mick Taylor returns to hold them captive.

It is nice Tess is getting some recognition. She was way under utilized in AC. She just gave a vibe that I knew she could have been a really strong character. Maybe that would have upstaged Daniels, who knows?

Agreed. Rosenthal, like most of the Covenant Security Team were little more than plot fodder. None of them really got much of a look in....or screen time, and all had shitty weaks ends. Shouldve had them go down swinging at least.

It is good to see Haubrich on Wolf Creek, it is a pretty big deal here and she is a top-billed cast for Season 2!!

Her character could have been interesting, the problem is that Scott only cared about the robots in AC it seems to me. When you have a famous director like that which probably influences the script you get under-utilized human characters. It was a result of an under-whelming script and a director interested in the wrong thing for a alien movie. Maybe I should give Wolf Creek a chance.

Looks like Tess's character in season 2 will be the main character(victim)lol!, who faces off with Mick, i watched season 1 on 9 free to air thinking it will be watered down, but no i was surprised, it was more dramatised, Wolf Creek 2 the movie, man! now that was graphic!
