Xenophobia

The Beast isn't cooked...its on fire! The video is pretty wacky, but it gets done what I set out to do, and that is give people an idea of what I have in mind.
Hunting an enigmatic merchant mariner; the crew of the USCSS Rubicon crosses paths with a resilient and genocidal organism.
'Xenophobia' is a spin-off project from the original 'Alien' trilogy featuring all new characters and a strict 'horror' atmosphere with the nostalgic 'industrial' look that the series hasn't seen since 1992. The eponymous 'Xenomorph' has been re-imagined as a monstrous beast with personality, a silent killing-machine with an eternal grin etched onto its faceless facade as it gleefully eliminates the crew of the USCSS Rubicon one by one.
While Xenomorph-centric; the naval crew, veteran soldier, terrorist and inheritor of a vast corporate empire, among others, are compelling characters with personality that so much horror lacks in recent years. A main problem with horror today is that the audience empathizes with the killer, instead of the victim. This story rectifies this with a deep cast, and an utterly revolting and nasty adversary that functions as far more than a mere obstacle for underdeveloped characters to overcome in a weak plot.
In a jarring combination of the foreboding and ominous claustrophobia and 'peak-a-boo' terror of Alien, and the break-neck velocity and exhilaration of Aliens, "Xenophobia" compiles together a spectacle truly beyond nightmare-fuel.
Just an idea... sort of.

“XENOPHOBIA”
FADE IN:
EXT. ROLLING HILLS AND PLAINS - daWN
The first rays of sunlight permeate the cloud cover.
As the plains reveal a SMALL HOUSE by a LAKE, a larger structure is seen on the horizon, a COLONY and ATMOSPHERE PROCESSOR.
ext. lakeside
WILLIAM VIDMAR sits at the lake side, deep in thought. TIGHT ON his hand as it cups the sand.
VIDMAR
(Voice Over)
I wish I could stay there forever, in stasis. But we all have dreams…
FLASH CUT
A WOMAN looks frantically around in a padded room.
VIDMAR
(V.O.)
We all have nightmares.
VIDMAR closes his eyes and inhales through his nose.
The WOMAN thrashes, BEATING the walls.
VIDMAR opens his hand and the sand slips through.
The WOMAN screams, grabbing her head with her hands.
CUT TO:
INT. starship corridors
His EYES flicker open.
VIDMAR
And you've always gotta wake up and face the music.
An ambience fills the SHIP.
There is no gravity, objects float freely among the wreckage and catastrophe. An event of absolute chaos occurred here at some point in the past.
In different parts of the ship, eerie ambient sounds snake through the ear, and VIDMAR narrates his surreal final thoughts …as his inevitable demise draws near.
VIDMAR
(V.O.)
It all came back to me, slowly, in the back of my head, along with the pain. The rest of the crew, those that had survived …we had a job to do, and eventually, we'd have to face it.
VIDMAR floats haplessly in the darkness.
VIDMAR
(V.O.)
It will never stop. The only thing we can hope is that somehow we can beat it… and we still don’t even understand what we’re dealing with.
BLACK
A backdrop of stars, a planet's horizon comes into view, GATEWAY STATION in the fg.
SUPERIMPOSE: GATEWAY - JULY 30, 2179 A.D.
INT. GATEWAY R & D, Laboratories - Corridors
A MAN in a suit makes his way down a corridor, the back of his head blocks anything that can be seen directly in front of him as he greets fellow company men and scientists.
The scientists observe a tube, obscuring its contents. As they break the spell-like hold this marvel had over them earlier, the vessel is sealed in a metal container.
PAN TO – Gateway Station, MARINE DROPSHIPS fly by inbound for the station's cargo bay, escorting a much LARGER SHIP.
