'Ridley Scotts "ALIEN" remade:

In 2012 we produced this shortfilm for the International Shortfilm Festival Hamburg. The task was to do a 3-minute remake of another film. We decided to stick to the scariest, darkest and - in my opinion - best sci-fi-movie ever made: "ALIEN" by Ridley Scott. And so we remade the last scene of the film, in which Ripley seems to be safe from the xenomorph, but suddenly finds herself face to face with the ALIEN.

This is the long version of the non-commercial fan-project. We all love the film by Scott and although I watched it about twenty times, I am still scared s*itless, when I see it again.

The film was shot in 3 days with a Canon 5D.'

To tell the truth, I wasn't scared s...less when I watched this remake but it's OK. 8)

That is pretty good. I always thought it would be neat to have 90 minutes worth of shorts done by different people in one collection.

I wonder if the cat was given something to cooperate. It's pupils are pretty dilated during the short lol. It also appears to shiver at 1:17. I have noticed that with post operative animals. Don't ask.

This is a nicely done little short. I am impressed with the budget. It's definitely worthy of being on the Sci-Fi channel. Still, it ain't box office quality. Of course, just because something is in the box office doesn't mean it's good!

I give it a 8 out of 10. The reason being that I didn't like the way the alien looked. Also, I didn't like the acting in some parts. It was good, but it was no Oscar nomination.

On a side note...

I am glad Scott made Prometheus. It's just not perfect like Alien is. Maybe if Prometheus got a well deserved 2hr 30min hour run time like some movies seem to get it would've been all better. I love Prometheus anyways.
