While we still have 3 more episodes to conclude Alien: Earth at the time of writing this - I'm curious what everyone thinks is a better ALIEN instalment so far?
I'm giving my vote to Alien: Romulus - mainly for being more authentically ALIEN and representing the Xenomorph as an intelligent, calculated, ruthless beast - not a bug.
Also - Andy did a phenomenal job portraying a Synth - better than Kirsh so far (and I like Kirsh).

Alien Romulus without question. Even if 3 episodes remain of Earth it's highly unlikely it'll change for the better and redeem itself.
While Romulus went a "little" hard on the fan service aspect, it is indeed an authentic "best of Alien" rollercoaster experience whereas Earth seems to have an identity issue (in part because too many people involved perhaps=to many chefs spoiling the broth) and is all over the place.
The xenomorphs were mostly and properly terrifying in Romulus (except the Scorched one that literally saved Rain from plunging to certain death in the elevator shaft) while it just seems confused in Earth and doesn't really seem to know its purpose. Kind of like a metaphor for the series itself.
Sets are impressive in both Romulus and Earth, although it worked better in Romulus as a whole while Earth's sets act like a theatre for actors with various talent in a badly scripted stage play directed by a highschool teacher who wanted to be a director.
Visual effects are impressive in both the film and the series.
The soundtrack is absolutely phenomenal in Romulus and its strongest aspect imo, while it's absolutely horrendous in Earth (they really dropped the ball)
I agree on Andy as well, my favorite android in the series. Likable, caring, badass and cracking terrible dad jokes. I mean how can you not like that guy. Kirsch for me is just Timothy Olyphant being himself more or less.

It’s a tough choice for me. I really like Romulus as a whole. It’s almost perfect as a Alien film that satisfies Alien fans. It gives me Alien Isolation vibe and lots of great throwback after a somewhat detached Convenant.
Alien Romulus is a calculated smash hit and it’s hard to not love it despite a few flaws. On the other hand Alien Earth is a mad uncontrollable baby which still have so many potential to shock the world.
At this stage I slightly prefer Alien Romulus, but really Alien Earth has so much to explore and it is experiemental, innovative yet also executed greatly so far.

Really liking both for different reasons really.
Alien: EARTH is introducing us to a lot of new concepts into the Alien universe whilst Romulus was a great callback to the original.

The grand jury has reached a unanimous decision: everyone on Earth agrees that Alien Romulus is better!

For me, I enjoyed Romulus but hating Earth
If they get rid of the lost boys, it will be better.

I don't know yet. I'll wait until the season is over to share my opinion. I will say both have their pluses and negatives. The negatives are enough to put both at the back end of my ranking

Welp, the votes here are unanimous 😅 yet, why are we already getting a green lit AE S2 and Romulus 2 is still nowhere to be found...

I’d take the Romulus all day everyday over Alien: Earth.I’m partial to the films in the pathogen trilogy (Prometheus, Covenant, & Romulus). Earth ignores film canon. It’s just a Noah Hawley weirdo ego perv experiment.Predator should have had the live action series, especially if this was going to be the road for Alien.
