Just finished the season finale... and I have to say, overall, I am disappointed.
The writing throughout this series is just bad. I'm all for supporting new projects and I'm thrilled Disney even greenlit an Alien series but come on... this show is not very good.
Things I didn't like:
First of all, way to convenient that Wendy can just magically control every aspect of the facility. And if she can control all the synths why did she spend any time fighting Atom when she could just "use the force" and pause him instantly. It's an inconsistent plot device that only conveniently used to explain away lazy storytelling.
There's absolutely no reason for the lights to have started flickering. No self destruction warning, no fuses blew... its an iconic element to the aesthetics of Alien movies but for the sake of making sense... it should've made sense.
The "Stay Frosty" line made me cringe so hard. It actually beat Andy's "Stay away from her you bitch" line from Romulus. So misplaced, so corny.
The Xenomorph looks like trash and should never be shown in daylight. And I loathe the fact it's basically Wendy's erand boy.
I was really anticipating more from this season finale but it ended on such a low note for me.
Things I liked:
The Plumbicare is badass and I loved seeing it finally in action.
T Ocellus survived, he was the real star of the show.
It's over. Lol.
Any gripes people had about Prometheus or Covenant pale in comparison to the flaws this show present. I really don't wish to be negative, but I'm just being realistic. Just cause an Alien series exists doesn't mean we have to fangirl and praise it for existing.
They were so preoccupied with wondering if they could, they never thought to consider if they should.
That's my opinion anyway, if you guys enjoyed it I'm glad. I just have way higher standards for this franchise. I'm disappointed, they could have done so much more with it.

The whole Wendy storyline is pathetic. It has to go. The boy genius could have any storyline and be interesting. Wendy who wants to be called Marcy and then Wendy and then to rule, LOL! needs to go. The focus should be on the monsters. How come Ripley knew nothing about the Earth being attacked by monsters before her trip?

I loved it form start to finish. But I knew most Alien fans wouldn't. Before I even knew a single thing about the series. Because we like griping. ;-)

I stopped caring after the 5th episode, only watched for Kirsh after that.
Bishop is Bae <3

It seems like the main android has too much of a role, so that's not very interesting to me.

Those are some polarizing results.

I thought it was pretty good. Having something to watch every week in the Alien Universe made me something to look forward to. . It could have been better but some of us are picky bitches.

Something is off with anyone who likes AE. The boy prodigy Quentin Tarantino feet shots, little kids being forced to be seen as adults, and pregnant child themes. Yeah Alien goes dam but anyone can see that is not what this was. Noah Hawley is a pervert.
