A brand new video interview with Alien: Covenant lead actress Katherine Waterston has just been published! Speaking with Social News XYZ, Waterson discusses what it was like to work with Ridley Scott, praising his vision and passion for creating believable and relatable characters. It sounds like more effort was put into developing the crew of the Covenant than the crew of the Prometheus.
Waterston also discusses her character Daniels and how she transforms throughout the film, finding herself being tested and pushed to her absolute limits. It's no surprise that Daniels will be like the "Ripley" of the Prometheus saga. No spoilers were discussed, so fans can enjoy the interview below:
This also marks the first official Alien: Covenant focused interview to debut online! I have a sneaking suspicion this video was prematurely uploaded however, considering the press who attended the Fox preview events for Covenant were given a strict content embargo which doesn't lift until the 24th. Regardless, we're pleased to see Alien: Covenant making the press rounds this early!
What do you think of Waterston's comments? Let us know in the comments!
