@ milos. rapace is a tiny scrawny thing as well but ridley's said a number of times her performance is magnificent. Did you see veronica in invasion of the body snatchers, and the witches of eastwick, she was also in hitchcock's the birds she's very versatile. For me her performance in alien was really great she played the paranoid nervous wreck to a tee.

lol that dinosaur story is fucking ridiculous..they kill off the dinosaurs because they know they wont evolve? that doesnt even make sense of course dinosaurs would evolve they are in fact evolved forms of previous species...are you guys getting high or somthing' your making hypothesis based on a fanfiction or just completely out of thin air

Oh; that's a good one too. I've thought about making a wallpaper with imagery from the movie poster, but I've mostly been using images from the trailer, in some attempt to be more "original".

It's explained fairly clear in the first paragraph the Magellan is the landing craft detatched from the main ship, Prometheus. Troll harder GreatBoosup that one was an epic fail.

This is the third "synopsis" I've seen online for the upcoming movie. It reminds me of that one synopsis which mentions how "the gods are proud of their children, and as a reward they share with them their technology" that thing....except this one seems to be a bit more detailed, explaining more of the SJ's character (even though I skimmed through this one). These little synopsis leaks are interesting to read, but I don't take them seriously. Come to think of it, as the movie's release draws closer, I will need to keep away from spoilers since they may become more rampant. o_o

Wait a minute. In the first paragraph the synopsis says the Prometheus enters the alien planet system. But once the ship has landed on the planet it's called the Magellan? Huh? One a related note: this synopsis is the worst sci-fi "plot" I've ever read. Even Ed Wood Jr. wouldn't touch this garbage.

I like that costume. I have been hunting all over the web trying to find a fricken xeno costume for this Halloween.

I am currently waiting for Alien 3 the Special edition to arrive after ordering it the other day. I never thought much of the film but after reading someones comments on here (can't remember who it was) about how the special edition was a lot better I decided I needed to see for myself.

Do you wear that costume when you go to pick up the kids from school?

I think you guys are getting it backwards here, it's set in the future, the corporation is Wal-Mart. LOL. I have to agree with you guys on the finding terra forming tech hence becoming a bigger company and having knowledge of the xeno before alien and searching for more tech over the years. I think it makes a lot of sense and fits well.

I had not read this one. Very very cool plot despite the holes. Every single 'plot' that I've read has been a blast, BUT... none of them answer how the derelict gets on LV421 with a ton of eggs. I am left wondering whether there will be another movie to fill in the space between Prometheus and Alien. If Prometheus really does give us the final answer as to the derelict, space jockey, tons o eggs (in the ship or below the ship, doesn't matter) then I can't wait. If it is only the beginning of the story, then I can't wait. Ridley will do a great job regardless.

RC8, Snorks, and C-Eggo, Going back to RC8's post at the start of this page (regarding Calls Quote) is my whole premise on the company knew what was going on from start to finish and micro managed everything, no matter how CONVOLUTED ( :P ) it got. I work for GE and believe me if someone upstairs gets wind of something they get involved and get their hands dirty. So my convoluted idea still holds water :P Rick

Here's a question. Why do you think Ridley went with just Weyland in this prequel? He could easily of gone with the W-Y known from Alien. This was a deliberate move on Ridley's part. Why? We don't even know which is the larger corporation. We cannot rely on the first name (W) being the larger company. (Just ask Paul McCartney about the credits on 'Yesterday'). Maybe one mastered getting into space (W) and the other (Y) mastered the bio-tech? I think there is a larger corporation puzzle here. I hope we get a hint of the reasons for that merger in Prometheus. (I'm assuming that Prometheus will ignore all the info that came from 'Alien' movies after 1979 and that may affect this converstaion).

I know what you mean Rick and I'm not assuming it's at the end of the film because it's at the end of the trailer....I'm assuming the possibilty and likelihood that the scene takes place at the end because...one, you only see Vickers and Shaw fleeing...two, there's apparent ship wreckage laying about as they run........ Craigo, craigamore, C-Eggo...whichever you prefer...

FACEPALM (although I do get the joke) Weyland-Yutani seek to spread their influence amongst the military, government, colonisation, commerce ect. (as mentioned in Aliens). 50 years before Alien Rez Weyland-Yutani (the name and the shell of the company) is sold to Wal-Mart. All important assets from WY are acquired by the USM, which was formed by the colonial, commercial, military and governmental elements that the power behind WY controls. Do you get me now...

C-Eggo, You like that word convoluted don't ya :P Guys keep in mind the trailer isn't going to be in chronolgoical order of the movie. The jockey ship could have crashed in the beginning or end of the movie and we won't know for the sure the proper order of the series of events that take place until D-Day. Rick

True, True. Call even mentions something about it in the chapel to Ripley. Ripley: "Why did you come here?" Call: "To kill you remember. Before the recall I accessed the main frame, every dirty little cover up the government ever dreamed of is in there. And this, you, the aliens. I knew if they succeeded it would be the end of them." So it makes sense that the USM would of had the knowledge of what went down between the Aliens and Weyland-Yutani. So the USM was basically like fuck it, were gonna give it a shot now. But oh boy were they wrong.

You're not the only one @Engr101...sure it's possible, anything is with the little we know, but I still can't buy it....too convoluted an idea her to keep trying to aquire what she likely can't bring back....it would be about survival at that point..wouldn't it?
