I meant the Engineers might go to LV223 following clues, while trying to find out where David is headed. They could have an awesome adult deacon scene even if its only a 5-10 min thing long their journey to find David. I'm interested in seeing what Orgae 6 is all about. It was described as less hospitable than Planet 4. 

I agree, id love to see what became of the deacon. its a fresh inclusion into the franchise and to have leave it as is would be an opportunity wasted imo, same if we don't see more neomorphs. but I don't know if it will be lv223 we see. logic would suggest lv223 would be the desired location for david or the engineers to head for as there isn't anything on lv426, or is there. im confused. do the weyland files exist? or will it be a case of they existed just for them to entice ppl to buy the blu ray for the bonus material but now their farther along wev to forget that? im hoping there is and the derelict is already on lv426. please give the fans that at least

I think if awakening is set on origae 6 with davids experiments in full swing then id say the engineers and any company ship will have to arrive roughly about the same time. perhaps have the humans arrive only to discovery what hes been up to then for the engineers to arrive and try and wipe everything on the planet out only for david to escape. I don't think they can tie into alien in just one more movie. they need at least one more after awakening and to me, the final one sees david return to the area around lv223/ lv426.

This is a good point, one that logically has to be what can the Engineers make from the Carnage, a lot depends on what they know about the Black Goo and LV-223, or what they dont know.  They would then also come across Human Remains, those Eggs, all of Davids Experiments.

if they investigate the Crashed Juggernaught, they would discover it came from LV-223 and discover what appeared to be TWO Humans on board.

But the biggest clue for those Engineers would have to be the discovery of Walter, then they would noticed he looks Human but is not, and i think logically it has to come from Walter to how those Engineers could ever possibly know where David is now off too.

Characters are important, Prometheus and Alien Covenant they was just throw away ones apart from the Survivors...  but the way AC ended does not bold well for Daniels and Tennessee, which is why good character development has to come from either the Colonist which means we have to see a Colony set up where these guys are none the wiser about what happened in AC until they discover really what happened and that Walter is not Walter.

Or it has to come from a incoming company Ship...

But the set up now is to link back to ALIEN, they have to have some Human Characters Survive to move onto the next movie for it to work, so it will be tricky for how this is handled, because if the Engineers turn up we have to ask would they want any Humans to Survive?

Bigdave, so you think the Engineers or some other species will take the neomorph and create a xenomorph? Will they be able to fit that in 1 movie? 

I can live with the original 'David reengineered' what the engineers started plot. I much preffered the book where David mentions there was already an egg when he arrived, but the book now doesn't matter as RS is obviously contradicting the book, so what really was the point of the book??? I can accept the original creature isn't the beast we get in alien as the mural portrays a more deacon looking creature. I love all the mystery surrounding the engineers and the beast but now it just seems from comments RS is coming out with is he doesn't give a f**k about any of that. he no longer cares for the very reasons he returned. hes using the franchise to focus on something he wants to explore and to hell with what makes that very franchise so successful. imo there is no place for his main focus in the alien franchise. AI is not the alien franchise. the beast and now since Prometheus, the engineers are. u can just see the derelict's fate all being down to David now, even though the mystery created by that very ship is a huge part of what makes the franchise so wonderful. I don't think he cares much for the franchise and is using it as a platform to simply explore what he wants. bad call and if this ends up being the case, his prequel series will have as much effect and impact on the franchise as AVP and AVPR did with the eception of Prometheus. it has faults but it at least left doors open that sequels could expand on. AC should have been epic due to the foundations Prometheus laid but sadly, he has managed to mess it up and ham string himself into a corner I don't see any way out of for him. the run up to AC was perfect. the ground work by Prometheus then the run up to AC, the trailers were awesome and I, along with most on here, were so stocked and pumped to see it. what a let down and now hes gna rub salt in the wounds by trashing the very thing that makes alien and making it a BR extension? nah, time to go if that's his plan imo. I watch alien because its about the beast and by extension, the engineers now and I watch BR because it explores synthetics. im not interested in a BR spinoff called alien awakening.

The fact is not everyone is a 100% Alien Franchise Fan, this is going to be a big problem moving forwards, because FOX cant bankroll $$$$$ movies purely on the appeal for the actual Fanbase, hence why Prometheus tried to do something different.

For people who are not die hard or even casual Alien Fans, Sadly Alien Covenant was not the same kind of Xeno Flick that the other Movies were,  casual Fans and General Public would be like the Fanboys and associate a Alien Movie about Xenomorphs and Queens which Alien Covenant lacked... so when we take away the Xenomorph, we get a confusing movie about David, that most wont get or like unless they have seen Prometheus a number of times.

Alien Covenants Failings was it had to by-pass a lot of what Prometheus set up, but could not totally ignore it and so had to leave some scenes connected but done so in a brush under the carpet fashion.  It then had to Shoe-horn in the Xenomorph and attempt to give us a Alien Feel.... while also try and give some Action more than Prometheus had... and Finally try and introduce something New.

Its a simply case of having to try and cover so much and please so many with such a limited running time and budget.

This is the Problem they now FACE, they have to cover enough to allow for us to have enough clues to suggest what happened in ALIEN, should the next movie be a failure, because FOX are not ones to be throwing money away, if the Next Movie is more of a Disaster and displeases Alien Fans more than Alien Covenant did, then i am not sure FOX would bank-role a 3rd movie that would attempt to Tidy up the Mess and Shoe-horn the Derelict into it.

Disney... however have plenty of money to do so, and i feel they would be ones willing to bring back what Fans feel is needed in the Universe... but this could mean a Blomkamp Alien 5 type movie.

I think the Problem we have now, and i know its a subject that has split fans more than the Engineers being Genetic Engineers of the Human Race... is that David Created the Xenomorph.

I think RS wanted to try and cover more with the Universe, where Prometheus was to ask WHY as far as how the Xenomorph had occurred which is a result of a Bio-Weapon those Engineers Created and it was to explore WHY they would want to create such a Horrific Bio-Weapon, rather than showing us the History of the Xenomorph and Queens etc.

The Route RS was taking the Franchise appears to be that the Xenomorph is just a Bi-Product of the Biological Warfare those Engineers had been working on, and that we have seen the Xenomorph done over and over and that the Reason behind why those Engineers Created the Bio-Weapon was what RS wanted to follow.

Due to pressure to please Fans, he was asked to give the Fans the Xenomorph again and Show us how it was Created...  And the Curve-ball that RS decided on, has upset a lot of fans.

But what do they do now? 

I cant see them doing a U-Turn again and showing us actually the Engineers Created the Xenomorph, and David just tampered with it, because it would make no sense to all the work David had conducted over 10 years if the Engineers had Eggs that he could evolve.

RS had said the Xenomorph is not quite THERE yet as far as the Bio-Mechanical Aesthetic and so i think this WILL be explored before we get to ALIEN it think a number of Fans are hoping that the Xenomorph is Bio-Mechanical because its something very Ancient the Engineers or even another Species had created.

I however think the Engineers or another Species, will ULTIMATELY Evolve Davids Creation.

There is a fake movie synopsis on IMDB every once and a while. We all know that all sources need to be taken with a grain of salt but IMBD can be king of bs. There isn't much info right now but when/if it comes, beware.

I think a Alien 5 would be a good idea down the line, but it would have to be something NEW, and Blomkamps ideas had some interesting things to explore, however introducing the Queen and Ripley again is not one that should be followed.

Regarding Walter, i think we are going to see David pretending to be Walter quite a lot..

And we have to wonder how the Engineers are able to discover where David was going, as there is NO Evidence left behind, not really apart from Walter, so i assume its from Walter that the Engineers are aware David is off to Origae-6

Some good points raised, and Thoughts_Dreams you are correct we need better Character use, and hopefully they understand that, which is why we wont be seeing any Chronological kind of Movie to Alien Covenant, like we never had with Prometheus...   There is not much you can do with David being alone on the Covenant ship for 7.5, years and then using his TWO Face Huggers on Daniels and Tennessee while the other Colonist are all asleep in Cryo-Sleep.   

What happens next?  David arrives at Origae-6 which we can SAFELY assume is uninhabited and then ONE by ONE he goes on to make Egg after Egg from the Colonist and waits for the company to arrive?

I have a feeling David will pose as Walter and set up the Colony, before we see David try and present himself as the KING of this New Colony, i think the Next Movie for the most part will be set in the Year 2114-2115

I simply hate the perceived path RS is taking the franchise. I mean hes got Bladerunner to explore AI in any great detail. u wont see Bladerunner introduce an alien species and then have it be the focal point of any future BR films so why do it to the alien franchise? its about the beast with an expanded universe that centers around the engineers and their connection to the beast and added into the mix for the human element is the company. nah, lets ditch all that, take a huge big fkn shit on what the alien franchise stands for, and make it all about a lunatic synthetic. seriously?? tone down the xeno? ok, if ur focusing on the expanded universe i.e the engineers but put even then u have to have the beast for it to make sense. AC FORCED a xeno in there and it had no impact. looked great as did the neomorph but the beasts got smoked easily so wtf was the point? I love RS films but AC is the worst hes ever done imo. hes lost the true imagination and wonder within the alien franchise and is simply too stubborn to change.

We need to remember Ridley Scott gets his words muddled up....  ;)

The way Alien Covenant handled the events that transpired between Prometheus and Alien Covenant and also the reason for The Crossing Prologue, and then The Advent is simply to cover in as quick way as possible what happened between 2094 and 2104, and so those holding out for a Return of Dr Shaw and what David did while on Planet 4, will be very disappointed.

the whole reason for these scenes and extras was to show us loosely what happened, the whole reason for Prometheus was to hint what happened to the Space Jockey but as it was done so vaguely, we could not really figure out 100% what went down.  

With AC and those Prologues one to AC the other to AA, they are showing us what happened in that time as covering these events would deem not necessary to pushing the Plot along the Path to ALIEN

Its for the same reason that i think Alien Awakening, will not be set much on the Covenant Ship and i even think we will be in store for more of the same AC  Aftermath kind of a flick,  where the next movie i think we would see Origae-6 has been set up with a Colony, and they all think David is Walter, before things start to get revealed about David and then the $"£%^£" hits the FAN. 

As a note, Disney will not acquire Fox.  From some sources.....It will not happen-

I think we need to understand the Alien: Awakening Information could be subject to change, RS had hinted the next movie would be Filmed in Summer of 2018, likely for a 2019 release but everything has gone quiet since Alien Covenant had taken such a negative feedback and disappointing BOX Office, all we have heard from RS is that he feels he was ahead of the Game with the route they had taken Prometheus, and so stepping away from the Xenomorph... and he has stated the Next Movie will touch upon AI more.

Things could be subject to change, i think by May 2018 we should get more information to whats happening with the next project..

As far as the Engineers i would not get our hopes up to much, RS comments seem to show they turn up and discover what happened on Planet 4 and are off to get David, but thats not Guarantee we will see Scenes of them arriving at Planet 4, we could just see them turn up in the 3rd Act to Origae-6 and be pretty pissed off.

Bigdave, aside from repairing himself, what do you see David doing on the ship for 7 years?

I'll pass on Eldena. I think things would get to Star Trekish if we went that far into the sci-fi world. I personally believe Ridley is senile and made a mistake or was talking out of his ass when he said 3-4 visitors. I will likely be 2 I'm guessing. I am very interested in how the mechanical aspects of the xeno are introduced but I don't want this to go to far out there or we could have something like Alien 4. 

I agree with maybe seeing themes from previous movie rolling over to the next, and i have a feeling that David will form some sort of COVENANT with the colonist on Origae-6

Every film made in 2017 can be included in a 'The Worst Films of 2017' list, and the best film will be the last one of that list. :D

I am sorry to crawl in dance is only now, I agree with what you have said , corresponds all , only that i resonated this term that in future events may have more meaning , like Prometheus the theme of creation has resounded stronger in AC .
The topic is only served to generate a continuous alternate weft.
Bearing in mind that all the characters do not survive , it is really possible that no face from the past can resonate from covenant?I would like the idea that a character of the past mixes with the characters next to the plot future.
