OOOOO LMAO RICK BIG TIME and again guys, I saw the Stones, Prince, Alice Cooper doing "Go To hell" 3 of the 4 Beatles on this show plus U2 and dozens if not hundreds of other great bands... But in my 50 years that song and that artist were the single best performance art I have ever seen on any Grammy show in that entire time! I am beside myself at the POwer and raw emotion contained wihtin it as well... She may end up being a Future legend with a voice and style like that!!!

i went into HMV today to see her blue ray DVD and get the title for downloading purposes and I spoke wiht a young girl who new a bit about Adel's past and she told me what you just posted...But hey for an x-smoker who needed an operation because of it, she is now blessed with a voice from g-d IMO.

Have you ever considered the idea that maybe the classic Xenomorphs is wearing a bio-suit? Think about it: the second jaw that shoots out of the outer jaw may belong to another entity inside the suit.

AVP GALAXY has also mentioned the the promo film: "It’s looking like Fox will be doing some viral advertising for Prometheus as well. This knowledge came about after a music artist revealed one of her tracks would be in a short viral film. The artist, Elizabeth Walling, also spoke about it briefly in a recent interview."

No disrespect to Gazelle Twin, but I have little to no interest in the music....it's the "promo film" that has my attention....what exactly will it entail and when might we see it?

Probably a build up series before releasing a major theatrical trailer.

Yeah, I noticed that and was curious. Sorry if this spoils anything, but it looks like a character or two go through some kind of metamorphosis. I'm guessing this is a crew member going bonkers. I don't want to say anything more, but if they are doing what I think they are doing, it is a very cool idea for the origin of the original xeno and the whole dynamic with Ripley and other characters from the franchise...don't want to say any more, but people on this site probably know what I'm talking about.

Was of course discussed many times ...is probably the mohawk guy you see on the far right of the "red lasers scene" of the trailer ...you see him too in one one the mini trailers that were realeased before the real one ( hes "raised" with ridley directing the scene ). We also see him climbing onver the truck while someone try probably to burn him ( and that scene probably happen a few seconds before this one )

ncc1701...that is totally neelix!!!! but I think this is one of the prometheus crew members who came into contact with green goo that michael fassbenders character is removing from one of the many containers found in the temple with the giant head...I think the goo makes living organisms mutate into something else

Sweet when was DEMI-MOORE added too the cast list? Really she is in this film? What capicity of a role will she play? Um show me proof that Demi-Moore is in this film please!

She is the mutated being in the photo above...lol I can't wait for this movie....I will see it a number of times(if its as good as expected). Then next of course is purchase on blu ray to check out the making of special features.

@BellaisanAlien, that is not correct, check behind alien, special effects movies on youtube (don't know the exact link). They filmed the sequence with the egg upside down only before it opened.

I wouldn't assume the upward dripping on the egg is a "continuity error." In the Alien comentary track, Scott actually calls our attention to this subtle but creepy effect. From his tone on the coment track, it sounds intentional.

Shooting it upside down so the facehugger would have gravity on it's side and "fall" out and then having the effect of the liquid dripping up, doesn't really bother me. It was probably a "happy accident" that Ridley went with as it added an extra creepiness to the scene.

Re updide down egg. In a making of special (Alien Quadrilogy) Ridley says re this scene that he simply wanted the egg to look more creepy and Alien so he shot it upside down. There is actually footage of them shooting with Ridley articulating the facehugger inside the prop egg using his hands... I think this scene is very effective.

Hmm. . . Isn't that contrary to what we've been lead to believe about the SJ race all along?? IF that is the case, the engineers that Ridley Scott is on about in Prometheus can't be them surely??

I always thought he was a good guy, from the very first time I saw Alien. Guess we were all wrong....

The hole in the SJ's chest is proof that it was a victim of 'something' with a much larger and more frightening agenda... ultimate survival ... for what end we do not know... is that 'something' a bio-creation tool of the 'gods' that got corrupted by humans or is it created that way on purpose... making the SJ just a pawn in the whole larger 'gods' universe.... this is what is going to make this new Prometheus universe so "epic" to use Scotts' words. He has said this movie will upset both biologists and theologists... be prepared to have your head spun around....!!! I think we should all have a party at 100 days left to go... !!!

John Hurt who plays Kane also plays the titular ELEPHANT MAN in a b&w movie directed by David Lynch. In the movie, he is mocked and abused by the world which sees him as a freak, an abomination. It's the world that is cold & cruel & desolate, devoid of any soul & humanity. In ALIEN, a 1979 scifi directed by Ridley Scott, Kane, the original Elephant Man, discovers the monument of his hellish state of mind, cold, desolate, devoid of any humanity.

Okay, thanks, parts of the article were done in 2009 and the realisation that the Sokar Funerary Bark was written January 2011 after I visited the British Museum where I saw the Egyptian Book of the Dead exhibition and was shocked by a certain small image and so the section dealing with the latter was back -dated to 2009 just to put it in the section where I was writing about the space jockey. I don't know what the writing is supposed to be, they wouldn't have made it Egyptian, some elements make it similar to stylised Cuneiform but not too much. That Giger painting spelt out the idea of Prometheus the titan for me long before the film was ever named that , for some reason

Isn't that the head of a space jockey like the one in alien, in the pod below the blue guy? looks to me that's a translucent window toward the right end of the pod, and inside that I think it looks like the head of the jockey in alien, with it's large mouth open. Is it just me?

@pjr; it could be a head, difficult to tell.....

@BellaisanAlien, I'm now having second thoughts, but that area seemed to me to be where the head of someone inside one of those pods would be.

PFTW, I'm joking when I say the following. Obviously someone didn't read all the posts. I wont point fingers :P But I did post a link to a Sumerian Tablet that is the very first Cuneiform writing and it clearly shows on the tablet a big ol' fat circle on it. On a serious note. Cuneiform does not have to be 100% wedges it only needs to make up the major portion of the written language, thus allowing circles and other forms to be present. These can be used as keys in deciphering the language. But the upside down V with the circle above it is clearly stolen from Stargate. Also English is from left to right Sumerian is I think starts on the right and go down and to the left. Regards, Rick

After second look at the face the language on the right cheek (our left) and the writing on the other side are completely different. Now I am no fan of mixing Aliens with Predator but the 3 pronged star shape 3rd row down is clearly a Predator symbol. Maybe Ridley will reference them in the movie but not make them a part of it, or he blatantly stole it in Mockery, or maybe he's paying Homage to those movies. Stargate was a good sci-fi and so was the original Predator.

Hey Guys, Pretty cool observations. For me, I think the PROMETHEUS hieroglyphics look charmingly like “so called” Angelic or Celestial script. It has kind of simple mathematical geometric characters, rather than more stylistic or artistic scripts like Arabic, Asian, Phoenician, etc…scripts.
