I find when it comes to the subject of ALIEN and Hans R. Giger, your pretty much talking to males. Both are considered too intense, and requires a very open mind to appreciate. As sir Riddley said with all the questionable sequels and spin-offs the xeno has been delegated to being a theme park joke. I admire people who can appreciate the art for it's purity and originality. Look at the evidence - 4 people enter the site, but only 3 can be seen in the ampule room. Also, think confrontation between Shaw and Vickers, Shaw believes Holloway is fine, but regardless Vickers views her actions as reckless and pulls rank.

You would think Vicker's would be the one to sit back to see what happens to him as ASH watched Kane without doing anything, though he knew what was going on the whole time...I would figure Vicker's being the company suit would want to see something like this happen and Shaw, perhaps that she has feeling for him to get him back to the ship asap.

There is a narrator ...hired for that , is a quite famous one . Cain there must be some twists regarding Vickers character , i dont think they will play it again as Ash or Burke . snorkel you are very right on that point but you really think that shaw could have her BF almost dead and continue to explore? maybe is just half team BEFORE the halloway incident happen ? We can assume that no less than 6 people go to explore the cave ( 2 on each little 4x4 and almost 4 in the truck if i see well and i remember a photo inside the big truck )

Narrators voice added to first post... I am just going off the evidence... 4 people enter with their helmets on - Shaw, David, Holloway and another woman (see image with Space Jockey suit). Same four as inside one of the RT Vehicles (image inserted). All are scanned before entering the "familiar" caves, before Holloway is "attacked" and removes his helmet. When we get to the ampule room with Big Head there are only 3 people, all with their helmets removed. Look again at image with Jockey suit - David looking at the Head, Shaw and another woman (can't be Holloway, he has a skinhead) looking at (presumably) the Jockey Skull.

yes but in the same set of photo you have also Shaw , david and halloway watching something ( with fassbender explaining something to noomi ) and without helmets

Frantz, check the info at the bottom of the image, it is a promotional shot taken by a photographer to show the three actors in their outfits. We know Holloway gets "attacked" and removes his helmet, his skin bubbling, while still wearing his hood (with name tag). In the promo image he has no hood and no bubbling skin... Therefore not film footage.

It looks like the helmet is melting, exactly the kind of thing that happens when someone is sprayed with the blood from a Xenomorph. Even though there are not supposed to be xenomorphs in this film according to RS. Then I look at his face and neck and the color, the things being pulled out of the open ampule look a lot like that shape bulging beneath the skin on his cheek and curving around under his chin. Unlikely or perhaps wishful thinking on my part I'm sure.

nah i got nothing....u tend to go to your favorite artists for this kinda thing...nothing PJ Harvey, Heather Nova or Tori Amos ever did....really fits in with this scenario....not even Depeche Mode ....tho if the thread was about songs u would like to hear on the soundtrack....then i could probably provide u with some....i was thinking a song like "where did we go wrong - Petula Clark" would suit a really violent scene quite well....i love it when they play a really calm and sad forlorn old classic song while their is all kinds of violence and blood shed going on.....Quentin Tarintino is really good at those....."bang bang - Nancy Sinatra" really suited the violence in Kill Bill....but it also kinda suited the story i suppose? But the song and the story does not even have to relate.....as long as the one sets a certain mood that completely contrasts with the other....that's when you get that perfect juxtaposition.....lol

Which album? The Fragile (Halo 14) is the continuation of The Downward Spiral (Halo 08). TDS was about a mans fall into hell, TF was the tale of the mans realisation, suffering and atonement.
