If that ship is plummeting to lv426 it sure doesnt look like lv426 as Kane and Co found it. It looks like a barren land (iceland). What if the ship is merely landing and because it is so huge causes fall out. This whole thing is not suppose to be related to Alien until the dying minutes. I reckon there are several ships.

remember that we always thought that the discovers are made in africa ( due to fake plots ) but can also be that the archeological discovers are in iceland ...and the activation of something "call" te ship/ships ...then they will follow the ship back to his homeworld ...who knows ...

Yep - def some mutation going on there. Some fans thought that was Fassbender jumping onto a Jockey too :s lol...not now though! Humans get mutated, turn into Jockeys, create new species - the cycle goes on...the true alien is the goo they find by the sounds of it....but who created that? :0

I wonder with that mutations..instead of progressive, it is the opposite and renders the human backward into an animal state? Because he looks like a wild animal....

Obviously something strange going on with that mutated crew member, not just from the looks, but how he scales that freaking wall! Also, we were talking earlier about him not needing his helmet when the other crew did. The same frame shows the visor of his helmet shattered completely off.

I kind of see the "mutation" thing going on. Where the one man is jumping off the truck onto another. Well, the man jumping off, his face is not normal..looks as though something is on it....or he is changed...more beastly.

Christ ,I hope the "mutated" guy jumping onto the other guy is not the main protagonist.If what we get is some mutated humans like the one we see and that's all I will be extremely disappointed. I do however trust Ridley and can't imagine this is the focal point of the story

Raven they will surely not show the aliens , the SJs or other nice things in a trailer of 6 months before ... they removed the only 2 "hints" that were in the other leaked trailer too ( the snake thing and the flamed alien )

I would question an expedition that insists on putting name tags on foreheads and big merit badges on the chest plates. I just hope Weyland sent them off with proper lunch money and made them memorize their home phone number.

I do believe there will be Alien type creatures but the good thing is we don't know what. Scott said no recognizable xenos but not, no xenos at all. Man//woman will be mutated into some monstrosity. I bet there are two types of goo or bio-former. One for the development of humans the other for the destruction of humans or all creatures. The scientists mess around with the wrong goo.

I think the mutations will be the only effect of the ampule goo, and the monster comes from whoever the pregnant female in the trailer is- especially if she gets pregnant by someone whose DNA has been affected beforehand. But, I'll be happy with a surprise if I'm wrong. Franz, I think that headgear is the same for all of the crew, but in some parts they choose not to wear them. Shaw has the same thing under her helmet in the 2nd teaser just before she's thrown back by the "explosion".

eh?! great enhancement! It happens so fast on the clip that I knew something was kinda bizzaro, yet at the same time.... a familiar cross between coneheads and the alien nation humanoids but really juiced up on Mentos! I got a beard just like that one.

Totally! I've always felt that these two movies existed in the same universe. I'm glad to read that other people have made this kind of "spiritual" connection between the two films. Perhaps Outland could be re-released on Blu-ray with the Weylan-Yutani logo digitally added to some of the scenes lol.

While I'm not ready to say I even think it's possible that I evolved from a lesser life form with the help of aliens, it makes for a good movie concept. Or at least I hope so... Great story, and thought provoking. Is it possible for an advanced race to deeply influence a younger race? Yeah, and we've done it ourselves with varying degrees of success right here on our own rock. We've also modified plenty of creatures at a genetic level. But it's still science fiction for me. We've never created life in a lab. We've just presented conditions favoring development of organisms in the way we wanted at different stages to provide an anticipated outcome. We can mold it, but we can't create it. I'd better stop my rant while I can. I don't know how far we will advance ourselves over time, but I just can't except that we or any other race will ever create life from nothing. Disclaimer: Not saying what anyone should believe, just saying what I do.
