And that the "Spine" of that story was "intact".

Ok, then I'll bet In the last scene she faces off alone against a Xenomorph, it bites her head off, then a grower shows up and bites the Xenomorph's head off and then it sits down in the Xenomorph's chair and speaks to the home world of the Xenomorph in it's voice. Ha Ha.

I think your correct Spartacus. This wasp does indeed breed in a similar way. Only diff seems to be that the female wasp requires fertilisation, where as a Xeno doesn't.
Still creepy though...

Stage#1-Eggs are Shed By The Female Into the environment.
Stage#2-Eggs Hatch into Larvae
Stage#3-Larvae form Pupae
Stage#4-Adults Hatch From Pupae
It seems pretty much the same to me. Only "they" {whoever that was} made some of the stages a lot cooler for scary movie purposes I guess !!!
LMAO.

I am still convinced that Lambert is in that room somewhere.
In a Cacoon.
I truly think after watching it again yesterday that what we all saw was the top half of Parker hanging one way and the bottom half of Parker hanging the other way.

I loved what you wrote because I had a similar experience when The Exorcist came out in 1973. I was 11 and my Brother and I shared a Bunk Bed. I snuck in with two girls from school to watch it....all of us with stuff like Hockey Pucks in our boots to make us look bigger at the ticket counter. We got in and saw it. We Ran all the way home we were so freaked...and back at home...I shared a bunk bed with my brother at the time, and it was my turn all week to sleep on top. I woke up at 3:25 a.m and had been sleeping with my head on my arm which was hanging over the left edge of the bunk bed.
The first think I coherently noticed as I came awake was the floor 6 feet below me and that instant an image from the Film flashed into my head of the door to Regan's room slamming shut by itself on orders from Satan Himself and I screamed out so loud that the neighbors on the 17th and 18th floors woke up and complained.
IMO, When a film is done right, it touches my sense memory!
I am embarrassed to admit it but I cried watching Steven Spielberg's A.I. in my living room once. {I preface this by telling everyone I loved my mother very much, LOL}
It's not really crying but rather my sense memory gets so effected by what I hear and see that my brain or my soul rather is over come with emotion that leaks right out through the eyes.
In watching Alien in the theater some 6 years later at 17, I remember my sense memory was so effected by that film that at one point I stopped Looking at Eggs in the refrigerator in the same way I had before.
Alien also will also forever be special to me because of my father taking to me to New York to the Toy Show that year and giving me the Alien prototype doll.
There are some things you tell yourself you will never forget and you just know you never will...Alien...for me...is one of those things.
That film is so engrained within my subconscious mind that I think it will remain there forever.

I'm seeing this object as being the TOP HALF of the 'Spacejockey's' head which is facing towards us. It's eyesockets are in 'shadow', just like the eyesockets seen in the giant head behind it.
Here's a link which I've arrowed to better indicate what I mean - http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/8918/ewprompics1.jpg
ReplyCervantesPrometheus ForumDEAD JOCKEY and His head Possibly...Dec 4, 2011
My own take on this preview shot is that we are seeing the 2 females shining the torch on the severed 'Spacejockey's' head, which is facing towards us, although we are only seeing the TOP HALF of it...due to the rest of it being somewhat hidden by the 'dip' in the set that it and the 2 females are positioned in.
I reckon the 2 dark areas I've pointed to here in the link below, are the 'shadowed' eyesockets of the head, which are similarly 'shadowed' in the eyesockets of the giant head behind - http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/8918/ewprompics1.jpg

ok,
the answer to that one was,
He got held there because of the nature of his paintings/drawings, when the customs agents saw his paintings/drawings they thought he was some sort of terrorist and film officials would have to travel to the airport and explain and prove that they were being used for a MOVIE

According to Ridley Scott, what is the most powerful scene in Alien?
ReplyMr.JPrometheus ForumPrometheus Movie Trivia Game!Dec 4, 2011
I will have to say the ChestBurster scene Thad...it surprised everyone.
ReplySpartacusPrometheus ForumPrometheus Movie Trivia Game!Dec 4, 2011
I know His "Cecil. B. DeMille shot", was the One Of The Space Jockey,
But which scene He himself considered to be "the most powerful" ...?...
...I know that expression is used because way way back Mr. DeMille was the TOP Gun as far as Power in Hollywood went.
I am tempted to say That scene, but all the same I need to hear it from Scott's Mouth himself, so I am watching that DVD again and...
ReplyThadus 12Prometheus ForumPrometheus Movie Trivia Game!Dec 4, 2011
Its what he considers the most powerfully acted scene, not visual scene

ReplyRickPrometheus ForumPrometheus Movie Trivia Game!Dec 4, 2011
The most powerfully acted scene there were actually two. When Sigourney and Yaphet Koto got into an arguement during filming and Ridley decided to keep it. That part was after Dallas was taken in the shaft and Ellen came into her own on what to do. The other powerful scene was when Veronica Cartwright actually slapped Sigourney in the face and they almost got into a cat fight over it. That was after she refused to let them in the airlock.
ReplyThadus 12Prometheus ForumPrometheus Movie Trivia Game!Dec 4, 2011
Correct! The scene after Dallas' death where they decide to proceed with dallas' plan, was regarded by Ridley Scott to be the films most powerfully acted scene.

It's Rick's Question & He Has The Con!
* adendum; I understand as well form the DVD that Sigourney Weaver kept pulling back every time Cartwright went to slap her and Cartwright kept holding back on the slap because she was afraid to hurt anyone let alone Sigourney, so Ridey Scott forced Cartwright to keel back and lace into Sigourney as hard as possible and that's a real reaction from Sigourney to the actual heartfelt slap Cartwright never wanted to take at her face.

I don't want to come across as rude or something else, but don't you think that analizing every single bit of information that is given would eventually spoil all the thrill and excitement? when april comes you will possibly know the bigger extent of the plot and whatever there would be .
I am going to stop here cause I don't wanna be spoiled. I think that i already know too much.
________________________________________________________________________________
Completely agree with you, it would not be desirable to know too much, because interest will fall. I only want to see an original trailer and then to wait summer.

i think that we really know nothing or almost nothing , there is so much speculation that everything can be right or wrong ..but if there is something in a picture is difficult to look away ...

I'm just happy to see healthy discussions based on real emotional things than the standard BS that goes round. I too had a bickering match with Spart a few weeks back but I also took the high road. It isn't worth arguing over what may or may not be in a movie that isn't even cut yet. IN fact, I closed my profile because it wasn't healthy for me to even care enough to argue. It does seem SPart and Bio have a lot of great stuff to add and read and I would hate to see it go somewhere really ugly. The original ALIEN film is a grand masterpiece and obviously we all share a great love for this. I think that, alone, should connect us in a way that we should embrace instead of dividing.
ReplyFrantzPrometheus ForumDNA Alien / AndroidDec 4, 2011
Scott's Ash was really an android ... someone with no self coscience ..,just a tool , even if a perfect one .
I find a bit absurd the idea of an android that become human ...its like my pc that start to make philosophical questions ... so even in a sci-fo movie that will be a bit too over the top .
So , given the love of Giger of biomechanical things , i can see your theory more realistic and possibile . David >> biomechanical Creatures
BTW there are not leaked synopsis until now .
