The Alien in Covenant got fried by thrusters and shot at before finally being crunched and even then was still trying to kill Daniels before it's demise. Tough son of a bitch if I say so myself. Tougher than the Xenomorphs in Aliens at least cuz they just had to be shot.
I think the best kill is the first Alien. It really show how difficult to get rid of the xenomorph is. How it get harpooned, and yet after that comes back to finally get repelled by the Narcissus' thrusters. So resilient you have to ask yourself: "is it even dead?" I really hate to see dismembered xemomorphs, getting crunched like cockroaches. That is not my idea of a "perfect organism".
@dk
Lol...well, I wish we could have in-depth conversations on Alien, but it seems like the extent of that kid's ability to elaborate on his fandom was "...I like the alien because it has an extra little mouth that shoots out." Still, good taste in movies for a kid!
Lol! When I got home and told my husband I had A L I E N fans in my class, his first response was "Haha, don't play favorites!"
Haha, that's awesome! I saw Child's Play once when I was like seven, and it didn't scare me any, but A L I E N really would have because I had a legitimate obsessive phobia of UFOs and Alien abduction at the time.
Haha, in my dreams, Jonesy! Last year I showed Willy Wonka and one kid was just horrified. I'm not out to traumatize anyone's kid, lol.
Second day of school, I'm super tired y'all! Not going to stay up all night on the forum tonight!
But, earlier today one of the A L I E N fan kids got a case of the giggles, and couldn't get it together. I told him "Good thing you weren't drinking milk or it'd be coming out of your nose right now. ...You'd look like that broken robot in A L I E N."
Obviously that exacerbated his case of the giggles, lol.
That is really uplifting :-) Have them in pairs, as a project, and have one blow into a flute and the other finger to inspire creativity! No need to thank me ;-)
Haha, yet it's always the uncool old farts whom you'd least suspect (but probably should have)!

IRaptus When Ripley was embracing the Newborn he whispered with longing in his voice... where is Starlogger?
I cri evrytiem
Dark Nebula Now I wanna see someone re-cut Shrek into Covenant lol Can you imagine Shrek climbing all over the lifter? XD
Lawrence of Arabia that scene is pretty brutal too lol. Yeah I agree, If you turn the volume up real loud just as its skull breaks up and sucks through the hole I think you can hear it whisper.....starloggggggeeeeeerrr I loved you.....
XD
Alien: covenant, crushed by crane

Starlogger The Alien baby loved you too, I think he even said your name before he was sucked out (;~;)
The ugly abomination Alien baby in Alien Res sucked out the hole is my favorite because I LOVED seeing that thing go away and suffer in the process. What a stupid piece of work.
Or the poor Newborn being sucked out into infinity

;~;)/
7. David is gonna mutilate her in the name of perfection :D
Ah, we have spam cooking here....
I thought this was about the Xeno killing humans
That will be our next topic :)
Im starting to run out of idea's though....just trying to keep things fun and interesting while we are in this dry patch between Covenant and pre-production of Awakening lol
That was actually really good. The only thing that comfused me was that Shaw knew David and Holloway had a drink together when she wasn't even there.
"autonomous weapons systems ... have a very real potential to cause significant harm to innocent people along with global instability," and this differs from regular people how?
We also fly missile strikes from afar and it looks pretty much like a video game to the operator.
Ingeniero I wish I could draw this well lol
Your work Lawrence of Arabia? Really nice regardless.
BIG DAVE WE ARE CLOSER THEN YOU THINK. JUST LOOK UP OSSURS MIND CONTROLLED TECHNOLOGY. WE ARE ALREADY MIXING ORGANIC WITH BIO MECHANICS. MY BEST FRIEND LOST HIS LEGS IN AFGHANISTAN. HE CAN NOW RUN FASTER THEN I CAN. I AM A FORMER TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETE, SO IM NOT SUPER SLOW. HIS LEGS ARE WORTH 2.7 MILLION DOLLARS WHICH EXPLAINS A LOT. HE IS SENDING ME SOME PICS TO SHOW YOU. I WILL UPLOAD THEM TONIGHT.
Here's my review of Prometheus: http://www.scified.com/topic/24846
And im afraid alien covenant is much the same... it felt better on the ship before they landed but then all crap mother Mary of the most awful messy stupid crap poored out from the screen :D .
Oh my, I never noticed the stone faces. Thats awesome! There is indeed a resemblance between the faces and the one from Prometheus, which makes it even better. I wonder how they made this giant faces? A hammer and a lot of patience maybe.
Ah man someone needs to get fired at fox if they were the ones controlling things behind the scenes... the viral stuff was as messy as the films apart from the actual video footage... last time i looked only a few months back there was still unfinished parts to Prometheus's website... :s . It was some good ideas and clips in a shockingly badly organised presentation :O. Sooo like the films...
Wait... there IS a Prometheus novelization? A canon one? In japanese? Is there more? Where can I get one? :)
So many questions. I like this ending.
Translation: it was crap but he's a mate so ill be nice. :D . But in all fairness Cameron has lost his touch as well all people seem to as they get older...
@ Thombach
Ok, what is your actual argument? If those are not blobs of black goo.. what are they, on your Ultra HD screen of ultraness? lol.
I would say that Prometheus is sci-fi horror and gore as well. Shaw’s birth scene was not far from Kaine’s . . . I agree that there’s more of sub-text in Prometheus, but that also made Alien the more frightening. There wasn’t much dialog either, and when there was it was very plain. Except for Ash’s famous lines:
"Ash: You still don't understand what you're dealing with, do you? Perfect organism. Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility.
Lambert: You admire it.
Ash: I admire its purity. A survivor... unclouded by conscience, remorse, or delusions of morality."
I agree that the quotation of yours is quite obvious and should perhaps have been in the movie, but is it sci-fi drama or sci-fi horror you want, Michelle? Personally, I enjoy scary movies sometimes. Like Alien . . .
ALIEN3 hot lead death is brilliant.
sherris - Thanks, but I did not work on it, I just shared the original post.
ATI - When this "Advent" landed i suggested i break shis down to its last molecule ! It seems you have more than surpassed my efforts. im with you on this.

awe cmon ur screwed with that line up lol gediman id have to go with
Seriously, what a guy like Cameron, who directed his last "recognizable" movie back in 2009, has to say about Sir Ridley, who doesn't call it a day by the age of 80?
Of course he wouldn'd have filmed "Covenant" - he hardly ever direct at all!
What an amazing like BigDave !!
I had thought that the "chones ones" from Planet 4 are enhanced to become perfect in everyway. It is their all, their everyhing that breaks down to start life.
As a reward the chosen has his face etched into the Mountains of Planet 4 for all to see.
-----
Sidenote anyone thought about the reason a planet is wiped. if the most perfect being gave his all and his everything passed into the waters of the seeded world.
Is this sown to the creations becoming unacceptable ?
Or is if it the "Father" who some how re formed at some spirit even with body and their reactions to issues in "heaven" that they live.
Only going by the full conversation between the acolyte and the elder
