This question has come up in the forum quite a bit and is always interesting to discuss.

I like that diagram BigDave- and I would like to see it continue to the left- somewhere between Isolation and Aliens. I think the Amanda angle has wings and could attract younger folks as well as geezers with open minds like me. My second choice would be after Resurrection and that could easilly include the Company and/or the creature.  Whatever the case, I would leave Ripley out of it unless there were some audio files or something. Ripley had her time just like I think David has had his. 

All said, I don't see it on the big screen, but maybe as a streaming series or something like MonsterZero mentioned.

That's a tough one.

I'd lay it to rest ......and then develop a TV series.... If it does well...Bring that to the big screen.

IF I was forced to continue.....I would use the Engineers as a plot vehicle for cosmic horror...Xenomorphs are just half witted bugs and I don't see them contributing much(jump scares).

I'd call it A L I E N  I I and use Sigourney Weaver just as she is.

The Narcissus has never left the system. Mother cancelled Ripley's commands. Mother WON'T leave until she/the company gets a specimen.

the shuttle orbit has decayed and has fallen into the ice asteroid belt around calamapos. Mother is suicidal.

Mother has been waiting for a new set of orders from the company..she is strained.

Mother spots a alien derelict (Juggernaut) in the ice belt she maneuvers near it and wakes Ripley......

I think ULTIMATELY the Prequels have Disappointed Too Many....

There are that Bunch who would have liked a Ripley and Queens Connection, but i think even the other side at that Time would have still NOT been 100% Happy with what we got Especially the Revelations/Plot of Alien Covenant.....

I do think the Prequels could END UP being Considered just as the AVP Movies where Considered and their PLOT.... How Many Fans of the Franchise Accept that Charles Bishop Weyland had Founded the Company before the Year 2004, that Xenomorphs had been on Earth for Thousands of Years... and we was Previsited and Taught what we know by Predators who just wanted to USE us to Erect Hunting Grounds/Birthing Pyramids and Sacrifice us for the Predators ULTIMATE Hunt?

Not Many i would assume...

I feel the Prequels could be Considered the Same, and so i would NOT put it past getting a REBOOT!  at some point in 10-20 Years.

I say that because Disney may Consider the Damage that Continuing the Prequels/David route may have on the Franchise... compared to just IGNORE them like some would with AVP.... and maybe some day give Indications of the Origins of the Xenomorph and Space Jockey Race in another Movie!

They would Consider its the Xenomorph and similar thats Important, just as the ALIEN DAY Shorts had, as in NONE were Connected to the Engineers/Space Jockey.

In closing.... i will add that indeed it would be NICE to have the Story Closed even if all we get is  NOVEL, but then this would NOT please Most the Fans... it would be a Gift to those who had a Interest in the Prequels who have NOT just Turned Away since Alien Covenant.

I do Understand WHY they would feel like Giving Up on the Prequels though.

I just want to find out what they are planning...don't even need to see another movie.....Just want to see the idea...that'll make me happy.

Prequels have exceeded my expectations....Always thought they would be about Ripley's parents(or worse...a child actor playing young Ripley!!!!!!) or comical Elephant like creatures. 

I think ULTIMATELY the Prequels have just NOT been what i Feel Many Fans would have expected or wanted way back when Rumors Surfaced that we would be getting a ALIEN Prequel.

The Space Jockey never Turned out like Many Expected, while Prometheus the Scale was mainly off, as we got to Alien Covenant we ended up with nothing more than VERY HUMAN looking 7ft beings..... who were all KILLED OFF..... Bye Bye Space Jockey!

It was expected to Reveal the Xenomorph Origins and a Return to Everyone's Favorite Space Monster, but we DID-NOT see them or their Explanation... by the Time we got to Alien Covenant then we GOT THOSE... only that they are the Creation of a Rebellious, Psychotic, Lonely ROBOT!

So while the Prequels had Continuing Disappointed Fans, we are left with the PLOT now being Focused purely on a Mad Robot... who Hates Humanoids, who wants his Creation to Rule the Galaxy!

So we are FAR OFF what i think Most Alien Fans and especially more Aliens Fans would have expected.

Some Fans liked Prometheus and how it OPENED DOORS with the Engineers and Creation Plot, and was looking forwards to seeing more about this and Dr Shaw and David and how all these things would Interact, and were NOT that bothered about Xenomorphs and Unlocking that Mystery.

But now we are left with a Colony Ship with Colonists we have to be Introduced too, who are at the WHIM of David and if his Agenda is  CREATE EGGS that dont Bold well for them..

We have David who is the CENTRAL Point of the Prequels, but a Character Arc that does-not please a lot of Fans, having him as Creator of their Xenomorph has got him a lot of Hate, Killing their Dr Shaw has got him a lot of Hate!  The Fascination with AI and David is something not many Fans are NOT interested in....

We are left with WHO ELSE?  as Ignorantguy points out TWO Characters who we really know little about who we just could not connect to that well... and WELL as Daniels knows who David is... then it would be STUPID for him to let her LIVE..

So as it stands as a Platform.... i am not sure its something that Many Fans would want to Continue, not in a way that Revolves around David....

To Continue with 2-3 more Movies to LEAD to ALIEN is going to be a Difficult Task as i dont think many Fans would want to have TWO more movies about David....

And so as Time Goes on, then yes it becomes more Difficult to showcase a 35 year old looking Male Synthetic (but yes there are ways around it) and as Ignorantguy mentioned... we also have Ridley Scotts Age!

With Disney they are NOT going to want to RISK doing another Movie that still has to have a Sequel to get to ALIEN, as a sequel to AC that becomes a Disappointment could leave them DEAD in the Water.

So i was just wondering if it looks like CURTAINS for David....

I think its more likely that Disney would give us a ONE Movie Connection to Alien that will deal with a AFTERMATH of what ever the Next 1-2 Movies may have Covered, were we come across David as just his Broken Body and Activate his HEAD!

More Chance they would want to give us a more Action like Flick, with Marine Types, Xenomorphs all over the Place and then Aggressive SOB!  Prometheus Engineers who go around with Actions Speak Louder than Words.. giving the Predators more Personality and Interaction with us ;)

Then Disney can go about to make more ALIEN Movies... no doubt with some Ripley Connections!

BigDave well the fact that Faszy got older could be masked with some nasty make-up and to say he was damaged by too much exposure to the goop. The real big age problem is RS', who this year makes 82, already over the British life expectancy of 79.4 .

They thought that Fassbenzer can lead a Franchise, but unfortunately no big budget movie were he was the top billing made it big. He is also a rapist and genocidal robot, is that appealing material for that many people, especially woman? The most talked about thing now are the Engineers and Shaw, both and dead. If, the Engineers would return that would only to die stupidly, as the White Walkers did in the last season of Game of Thrones? Of Covenant's surviving characters we know nothing (well Daniels likes rock-climbing, that might also because of her husband and wants to build a cabin by the lake... boring) , not even their given name. 

An another problem would be the new Terminator movie. If that goes well Disney would have every incentive to bring the Ripleys back.

Who knows what will be, but I am holding my breath as after Prometheus, sorry.

@dk but the leadership also changed between Prometheus and Covenant, and the new leadership thought that killing Shaw and replacing Marc Streitenfeld with Jed Kurzel to ape the Jerry Goldsmith OST, would make them good money. But it did not.

The prequels have polarized a lot of fans. I suspect deep down, most want one more from RS. I know I would like one despite feelings on how the theatrical releases were. But ownership has changed since those days and as always, past financial performance will be a big factor.

@BigDave: I was of the understanding that the third 'Alien' Prequel was reportedly in the scripting phase, with Ridley set to direct!? 

I highly doubt greedy Mickey Mouse would allow that, they refused to put Spiderman on kid's grave.

With things regarding a Sequel on Hold, as time goes on it will become more Difficult for Fassbender to portray David a Male Synthetic looking like someone in their Mid-Late 30's

But it also seems to be a Lack of Interest in the Franchise from the Standpoint of the Prequel Story Arc that has Evolved to have David as a Anchor point.

So do you think that the Prequels should be ABANDONED?

It seems they Split the Fanbase as some stuff from the Prequels had Interested some Fans, but it appears a Majority of Fans just want to see a Continuation with what the ALIEN Franchise had been about, ALIEN DAY for the Most Part seemed to be more Geared towards things Connected to ALIEN/ALIENS as opposed to the Prequels...

So has THIS KING had its Reign?

It does seem a kind of odd comment to make Dave. I could buy the Alien having a minor self repair ability, but to be totally crushed then regenerate is a bit of a reach.

Makes you wonder if at the back of his mind Ridley was thinking of a way for Walter & his regenerative capability to be utilised by David for his ultimate alien specimen?

Might not be as random as we think, after all Ash did tell the crew they couldn't kill it!

I think the Regenerate Comment was a little odd, as he suggested the ONE that was Crushed by the Loader Claw would REGENERATE.

To Continue and show that such a Xenomorph would Regenerate back together would CONFLICT the Franchise in General.

I much prefer and hope that he meant that the Xenomorph was NOT Dead as such, but from its Remains then Eggs could Grow/Regenerate... i think that would be a Pretty Cool way to add something to the Organisms Life-Cycle.

Ps. I'm with MonsterZero rather like when dealing with The Thing, your best defence would be to freeze it, as there's probably no other way to contain it!

There was no easy way to dispose of Giger's Big Chap from ALIEN. If you shoot, cut, flame thrower it, you risk acid bleed breaching the hull. Plus, I'm sure it had an adverse resistance to most things, I doubt you could kill it! Plus, Ridley now hints at the Alien having regenerative properties, so...

Remember, it was still alive when the Narcissus's engine blew it out into space.

JC's Bugs were easily disposed of, huge mistake in my book! That's why I disregard them, they diminished the whole concept of what the Alien was. Ruined the whole mystery & terrifying, unknown entity factor.

I think with ALIEN we have to remember they had to take precautions to NOT Kill the Xenomorph on the Ship as the ACID would cause a Hull Breach, and with the Game Alien Isolation it was the same Principle, which is to Survive against the Xenomorph when you dont have any Fire Power.

With ALIENS we can forgive how Easy they was to KILL due to the Marines having High Power Explosive Rounds.

ALIEN 3 was a bit SILLY how the Xenomorph Survived the Molten Metal.

Alien Covenant we saw the Neomorph and Xenomomorph took quite a bit to KILL, but then we have to Consider the Covenant Security Weapons would NOT be as devastating as the Colonial Marines.

A lot of Video Games are made for Fun, some can be on the more Easier Side..... Imagine the Old School Doom games (or Newer Ones) with only 25 Hit Points instead of 100... that would make for a Super Hard Game Franchise.

The problem with the AVP is the xenomorphs specially Grid, Grid was basically the xenomorph version of a Marry Sue. Paul W S Anderson can't write himself a coherent story to get himself out of a wet paper bag.

Alien Isolation is a fun game, scary but very fun. Yeah fire in the Alien Movies just only scared the xenos, the fire weakness was only present in the games to give the human players a fighting chance otherwise in multiplayer, the human players would be quite screwed. 

THE XENO IS UNSTOPPABLE IN THAT GAME!

Alien isolation is too hard for me,i can't clear chapter 4,and also after the first level of alien colonial marines,it was easy.

Aliens: Colonial Marines is one of the worst video games ever made. The difficulty for this game is so low a newborn child could complete the game using only one hand.

If you think the Xenomorph is so easy to kill then why not try your hand at playing Alien Isolation, or if you have a Commodore 64/ZX Spectrum/Amstrad CPC emulator the video game Alien, released in 1984 (developed by Concept Software).

Just looked into From Beyond and its based off a Short Story by HP Lovecraft of the Same Name!

A Scientist Creates a Electronic Device that emits a Resonance Wave that affects a Persons Pineal Gland (same Plot as the Movie) this allows them to Perceive Planes of Existence outside of the Scope of Reality...

To connect to Alternative Dimensions, where Alien Creatures of this Dimension can also perceive the person using the Device, and interact with our Reality.

So i think indeed FROM BEYOND could be a Good Basis to Expand the PLOT of the Prequels....  those Ancient Engineers maybe FAILED to attain GODHEAD...

Then Thousands of Years latter other Engineers could attempt the same and Unleash some Organisms into our Realm, and the Engineers then Experimented with these Organisms on LV-223.

Thus LV-223 Engineers tried to replicate what their Ancient Ancestors had done, maybe seeing their Ancestors may NOT quite have Transcended to the Divine State they believed they was on the Verge of... but Instead they became (or so the LV-223 Engineers assumed) a Symbiosis relationship a kind of Merger with the Horrors from another Dimension, they did not become GODHEAD... but became Joined with another Organism....FROM BEYOND. (Kind of the opposite to the Dark Crystal Plot of Splitting into TWO Races... maybe the Ancient Engineers and another Species from Beyond had Merged into ONE).

So the LV-223 Engineers became interested in this, but all they could do was BRING over some Organisms and so they did there best to use their CREATION Tools to Experiment with these Organisms... thinking that ONCE they Perfected a Way to MERGE with them... they would become GODLIKE!

Some of those Organisms from..... HP Lovecrafts (From Beyond) do look like the Concepts shown from Star Beast (Mural) and indeed the Trilobite Concept, and indeed Holloway Infection from Alien Engineers.

So maybe such a TWIST as i suggest could WORK?

Going back to the Alien 01 The Master Narrative could be a way to Introduce another Layer to the Cake!

There are some Interesting things that Conflict Alien Covenant or maybe!

"Individual Engineers live for a hundred thousand years, Ages ago their race abandoned sex and gender"

The Full Paragraph also mentions they Lost the Ability to Procreate...

However with Alien covenant we see there are Males/Females and Infants/Children (Davids Notes). So this shows these beings have NOT given up Gender or Procreation... also RS said those Planet 4 Engineers live for about 150 years.

This could be a case that the Idea of the Engineers presented in the Alien 01 The Master Narrative had been Changed/Scraped!

"shepherded the human race towards sentience and civilization, sharing DNA and their habitat, teaching humanity's teachers."

Humanity's Teachers could just be our Ancestors who pass on what the Engineers had taught!

But we could still Speculate if "teaching humanity's teachers." could be used to indicate another Sub-Faction or Sub-Creation of Engineers.

So there could be ROOM to Introduce us to the Engineers who had Attained Transcendence..

Or Explain what became of these beings after they had Attempted and Failed to Accomplish this... if they Failed to become beings that have NO Physical Form, then what kind of Form had they Evolved themselves too... What Horrors!

The 1986 Movie From Beyond deals with Scientist trying to enter other Dimensions through a Subconscious Transcendence with Dire Consequences... Mutated into a Horrific Form!

This opens up the Potential for those Engineers to have done similar, and Failed in their Quest to become Multi Dimensional beings without Form, into Horrific Mutants... so that could get VERY like HP Lovecraft works ;)

Maybe a Hubris of Future Engineers who Sub-Create a Enhanced Version or attempt to Evolve themselves and then maybe Incorporate some of the Horrific Forms their Masters had became... this could have led to those Engineers Unleashing something else... that they then Experimented on and HENCE the LV-223 Experiments?

This also sounds  like the Dark Crystal Broad Plot..... in regards to what the Fallen urSkeks  had attempted... they Failed and became Split into TWO Different Races... i mention this as the Source i had back in Early 2015 Claimed that Prometheus Pandemonium's plot was similar.

I think we can agree there are Inspirations... i think we Discussed on another Topic about a GOD or similar that has NO Physical Form... so its how would such a Entity Exist and be able to Influence/be a Threat....  they would be Magical to a Degree in that case...

But it was only the other day after i had decided to WATCH the Furious Gods Again, and i watched it via a ONLINE Video instead of on the TV with Blu-Ray, when i noticed and Paused at some of the Pitch which seemed to Indicate more to that Original Idea.

"The Engineers Believe themselves to be on the verge of a great evolution, a Transcendence in which they will abandon their physical form and then take flight into the ten-dimensional multiverse as creatures of pure energy."

So this indicated a very HP Lovecraft inspired and Space 2001 approach... ;)

But we dont have the FULL Document that Jon spaights had made to Pitch to Ridley Scott, so we can only Speculate how many pages and what depth it went into.

Did those Engineers in his Pitch, accomplish that Transcendence?  Did the attempt just lead to a Catastrophe.... (you cant play GOD).

Regarding Prometheus then i was drawn to the Event being the Catalyst for the Cambrian Explosion

Alien Engineers was a bit different, the Sacrificial Scene happened 12'000 years ago where a Earlier Humanoid Female was Upgraded via the Sacrifice... some overlook this to think the Engineers merely just Evolved a Earlier Hominid... and so DID-NOT Create us.

But if they look at the Drafts in detail, then Dr Watts (Shaw) and Holloway's findings discover a Change in our Genomes every 12'000 years, which indicated the Engineers had done this Prior to 12'000 years ago Sacrificial Scene, so they would have done this 24'000 Years ago, 36'000 Years ago etc etc, SHAPING every Evolutionary Process of our Hominid Ancestors

Of course things Change with each Draft and what we have in Prometheus and especially with the Theatrical Cut, could/would have changed a bit in some areas compared to the Inception of Jon Spaights Original Idea/Pitch.

So a lot of that Pitch is maybe NOT relevant to the Engineers, well maybe.... its Interesting to wonder if it could be still, and WHO KNOWS... if they could have gone back to some of the Unused/Not shown ideas in Future Movies regarding the Engineers.

I dont think anyone is a Xenomorph Expert we can only Speculate about it as its something that is Changed Movie to Movie and Medium to Medium ;)

I think the Thing to remember is we have had many Incarnations of the Xenomorph as far as HOW it is Portrayed......

Like i mentioned prior it appeared to be more Resilient in some Movies, i think that the AVP Movie is a Good Indication of what the Xenomorph is capable of (not AVPR though).....

I think we need to Consider that the PREQUELS and Concept of the Prequels had indicated the Xenomorph is a ENGINEERED KILLING MACHINE....  Be that it was Engineered by David or the Engineers it was Regardless a Engineered Weapon.

How do you deal with it?

BRUTE FORCE and Containment... you have to use Heavy Firepower and Contain the Spread of the Organism.

The Xenomorph is a VERY Efficient Predator, you can try and RUN... but maybe cant HIDE...

Environment is its Ally... and Enemy...

Its difficult to Barricade against it, only the Best Defenses like that would work... but one Hick Up and a Break of this Defense and your in Trouble... being Caught in a Enclosed Environment is NOT Good News.

Being ALONE is also not Good News....  you need to Rest!

The Weakness of the Xenomorph is being out in the OPEN.. where you have a Location that is not Built Up... No place to Hide, and a Large Area of Low Grass or Flat Planes.....  

A Area that is FLAT for a Large Distance, of say 1000M in all Directions....   Then you NEED some Fire Power, that is Heavy, and has Good Range....

A Good Supply of Ammo and a Ratio of Arms/Personal to Xenomorph and then its kind of a Piece of Cake!

Well as long as its Quite Light outside.... in the Darkness things become more Difficult ;)

Other than that.... then bring along Ripley with a Tooth Pick and you will SURVIVE lol

I think the pitch is very much Arthur C. Clarke's (and Stanley Kubrick's) "2001: A Space Odyssey". Prometheus has many similarities and Ridley Scott was of course very much influenced by it.

In 2001, the "gods" aren't beings, they are minds and energy, they have transcended the physical. But just as the Engineers they watch over the development of worlds, helping them evolve.

Neither in 2001 nor in Prometheus are we shown that the "gods" create life, they might just help evolve life. The sacrificial Engineer in Prometheus might perhaps be the cause of "The Cambrian Explosion"?

Listen,im no Xenomorph expert,im an alien fan.

Fire may only repel a Xeno but that would be enough for me.

Always thought killing was 'easy'...(with the right weapon).....it's the acid blood that freaks me out. You don't dare blow it up on your spacecraft.

(When Daniels shot the xeno in the crane ...I was far more concerned that she'd get sprayed with acid.)

I'd Probably end up tying to freeze it?

I think this is the Problem when talking about Canon as far as Game vs Movie vs Comic vs Novels...

As the Xenomorph can be Portrayed as Weaker in some of those Mediums than others....

Most Video Games will NEVER have a Sense of Realism to them, as well it would make Playing them Too Difficult.

But going by the Franchise in General as far as Movies it is something that is HARD to Gage.....  in ALIEN you have no real way to see how TOUGH the Xenomorph is as the Nostromo Crew could  not use any Weapons for Risk of a Hull Breach.... 

In Aliens and Alien Resurrection we are shown that the Xenomorphs can be Dispatched with the Right Weapon. And so they are FAR from as Resilient as Alien 3 and Alien Covenant seems to Indicate.

Fun fact:the hardest level from Alien Colonial Marines was  the first level.

Leto and everybody,Xenomorphs are easy to beat,when i played Alien Colonial Marines (I managed to beat this game lmao) i used and explosive and killed a xenomorph in one hit,i just kept shooting one Xenomorph and killed it,in alien vs predator,i could only use guns as a marine,which is the same thing with the previous game,for the predator its like:

ONE SHOT ONE KILL!

I didn't want to create a conflict about how to kill a Xenomorph.

Indeed that is Interesting...

We have to Wonder in WHAT way was this to Connect to the Engineers, we know their Ancient Culture and Creation was Connected to Sacrifice....

So maybe if we Consider that Comment, with the Giant Statues in a Buddha Offering Pose then indeed i think we can Assume that Sacrifice/Offering of their Body/Soul for the Greater Cause is something that is Fundamental in the Engineers Culture.

It also could be the Grmec Monument to the Revolution on the Doorway to the Engineers Cathedral could indicate the Sacrifices made by the Engineers Ancestors...

It lead me to THIS SITE where Alien Explorations discus that Monument. And Finally it lead me to Discover what the Imagery on the Door was, in Concept Stage which could BACK UP the OT regarding a Tomb of Sorts.... but then there was TWO designs for the Cathedral Doors as far as ART on them, both where NOT the Same Reference Material... so maybe Neither can be looked into detail... and besides the Actual Cathedral in the Movie lacked any kind of Mural on the Entrance.

I think this Video Highlights the Various Misconceptions about the Franchise, all arising from the Evolution of how we Interpret the Xenomorph from Movie to Movie.

We dont know if FIRE would have Killed one at the Time of Aliens Bugs..... i mean maybe a Paint Ball Gun could have done the Trick ;)

But as LETO had pointed out... we had seen more signs of the Xenomorph being Resistant to Fire/Heat, we could look at the Alien 3 Runner who carried on after having EXTREMELY HOT Molten Metal poured over it.... and also the Covenant Xenomorph and Plasma is another Fine Point.

However... FIRE could still be Considered a Weapon, depending on the Xenomorphs Senses... as it is a Source of Light.... but it depends on HOW does the Xenomorph Sense its Surroundings.... they LACK EYES and so you could assume that LIGHT would have NO Effect and so a Flame Thrower should be something that a Xenomorph should have no FEAR of.

It basically could be as Useless as attacking it with a PILLOW!

I think something to Remember is in Context to the Franchise Plot, then such things as Biblical Accounts are to be Considered Fables that arose from Tales regarding the Engineers Visitations and that in Context to Prometheus/Alien Covenant that there was NO Magical Being who simply said... "let there be light"  

So i think it could be Interesting to see HOW loosely things could fit, as in HOW did such Fables/Religions get their Information/Inspiration in Context to our Engineers, but i dont think getting caught up on the Details of the Religions Literally is Necessary.

But ALAS... going the Chariots of the Gods route for a Plot would make such matters Arise... where Many Questions could come about such as WHY are there Star Maps after the Engineers Outbreak 2000 years or so ago..... DID they come back?  And if so WHEN and WHY did they STOP AGAIN?

Again these things will arise from such a PLOT... but they deemed that such a PLOT was really ideal in Order to have a Movie where Humans would arrive at the Location of the Space Jockey as far as what they had been doing in Relation to the Xenomorph.  Without such a Plot, they would likely have had to show us a Human Mission that Simply Detected the Space Jockey SOS and went to Investigate and Discovered Space Jockeys and Horrors where there would be NO Communication as such... and so we would get similar to a AVP Movie..... well LESS than that....

Considering the Alien 01 The Master Narrative where these Ancient Beings had Evolved themselves over Millions of Years, and were on the VERGE of Transcending from Physical Form so they began to Create/Evolve Humanity in the Hope we can Follow in their Historic Footsteps....   Then to CHANGE of Plan and ERADICATE US...

This may seem Baffling.... but to IGNORE the whole Space Jesus Plot..... only looking at the Alien 01 The Master Narrative then IF these beings Evolved us, and Educated us, but then IMAGINE.. their Attempts at Attaining a GODHEAD status had Failed.... it NEVER worked out... and/or some simply Abandoned it...

They are then LEFT in a Mortal State, Physical Form and NOW they have to Share such a Existence with their Creation then maybe they could be Concerned that their Creation had been Given too much Information/Knowledge and Potentially its a case of can they Eventually Share the Galaxy with such beings.

They could have Concerns about that... much like how Sharing a World with Walter's is not as much a Concern as Sharing a World with David's (Sentient Synthetics) maybe they then Developed Rules/Laws to Control their Creations that they NOW realize they may have to SHARE the Galaxy with, instead of allowing them to had Inherited it (should their Transcendence to Divinity had been a Success).

So if we get to that point, and their Creations show signs they have NO Respect for the Engineers Ways, then INDEED these Wanna Be Gods would have to Consider that Eradication is Necessary...
