It kind of does.

Another analysis/comparison I couldn't help but make.
the retro VHS cover kick ass
The cocoon in that picture reminds me of the Trilobite from Prometheus

Xenomorph cocoon, and the barbed tail peeking out of it. It reminds me of something...

Another piece from Total Film:

And I can't wait for the NECA figure either! Preparing my wallet now... lol.
A nice look at the Xenomorph, from the cover of Total Film magazine.

I can't wait for the NECA to show the Romulus figures.
wow , best look so far
That looked really and I mean really good even with the grainy VHS quality filmed with a hand camera. I've got a feeling this will be nothing short of fantastic! Holy smokes I'm hyped!!
Some folks received a VHS of Alien Romulus, not the actual film, still pretty epic.

Xeno on the cover

Another one uploaded on YouTube, has lots of new footage! Excitement is real
Got the teaser uploaded to our YouTube:
Another screenshot of the Scorched Xenomorph from the recently released teaser.
This angle reminds me of a shower scene from Covenant
Scorched Xenomorph eh, guess that gives us an official name of the one damaged Xenomorph from the trailer!
Looks like Funkos are available for preorder. The scarred Xeno is referred to as "Scorched Xenomorph" on the packaging

Indeed. The mystery is an important aspect in the franchise, the fear of the unknown.
David being the creator of the xeno eggs was a very poor writing decision imo.
I'm fine with exploring it a little but I hope while they give some answers that they'll give us some questions too. We don't need to know everything in this franchise, hopefully the writers will understand this.
wow , Eh
let it sink in , not too many sleeps now
AVPGalaxy posted an article about it a day ago, and it seems legit.
That appears to be a stunt suit.
I too am more excited for Romulus but I'm cautiously optimistic for the series. Anytime studios attempt to "reimagine" a franchise I get a little nervous. That being said, the Alien franchise contains so much untapped lore, I'm sure it will work out so long as they don't stray too far from what's already been established.
I know the feeling. It seems surreal still for me too, the hype is mounting for sure. The fact the film comes out next month has not sunk in yet.
Thanks for sharing! I'll give this a listen tonight!
Such a fantastic info. It still feel like a dream knowing that a brand new Alien movie is now becoming reality and we are going to witness this in just one month away.
Very interesting! I'll get this front-paged shortly! Great work relaying the info Nebula!
Sounds fantastic, thanks for sharing!
I'm more hyped for Alien: Romulus! This is the first time as Alien fan I am not looking forward for the Alien series, because if it turns out to retcon the entire franchise instead of a seperate on it's own series, I will skip this series, because they will ignore the Prometheus timeline.
The Xenomorph cocooning scene I'm really eager to see. As much as the rest of the movie.

Species (1995) gif
Crossing fingers it'll be good. The Alien franchise needs to be reignited again.
“In this reimagining”
It seems like the series will be its own thing, separate from the main films, which I’m fine with.
All is good.
Someone: Why are you so mad after losing a gaming match? It's just a game bro, calm down.
Also, that same person when someone in an alien (and any horror) film does something dumb:

Alien Romulus on the cover of Fangoria

Velociraptor. But seriously I think it's a xeno foot. If I recall correctly, Mike mentioned the old chap wasn't in the trailer so I guess it's another xeno waking up from a wall Aliens-style.
Oh the politics wasn't intentional :) it was merely a random example of a wall of text used to describe his doctoral theses that, although very long were interesting to read.
The cow story was hilarious XD
Don't think politics can fly on these forums.
But yes, BigDave would sometimes get carried away, get off-topic, and write a whole essay. It reminds me of Wikipedia's lamest edit wars. One of my personal favorites is the edit war on the Wiki page for cow tipping, where somebody added a photo of a cow staring at the camera with the caption "An unsuspecting potential victim?" as a silly joke, and it resulted in a huge discussion in the talk page about whether that cow should be classified as unsuspecting because it's looking at the photographer, and there's nobody else there.
Mike from Mike's Monsters, who has seen the film's rough cut, mentioned in his reaction video what it is, which makes me excited to see how the full scene plays out in the film. And it’s all practical.
I love this shot

It is very reminiscent of the scene from Alien when Big Chap sneaks on Brett
