A new 12-minute long behind the scenes video from the set of on Alien: Romulus has made its way online with 8 days to go before the film officially lands in theaters! The montage of BTS clips shown in the video below gives us some remarkable shots of the film's practical sets, animatronic Facehuggers, Chestbursters and Xenomorphs as well as the suits! Interviews with cast and director Fede Alvarez lend major confidence to this entry in the Alien universe. There are some really interesting shots as well showcasing something we've never seen before - a Xenomorph emerging from its cocoon!

Interesting, producer Ridley Scott chimes in on the video at one point and explains that to him, the Alien / Xenomorph was always conceptually a weapon - which is evident by his approach with the beast in his Alien prequels - which was used to cleanse and eradicate life on planets. This bodes well for the maintenance of his lore established throughout Prometheus and Alien: Covenant.
