Nice! Drinking Birds enroute. Time to pose the dol- action figures again!
Indeed. Not watching paint dry but possibly watching grass grow.
Walter's been a very busy boy....
Barf The Mog It seems your idea has real canonical merit. IRaptus pointed out the container behind the drinking bird.

I wonder if he might defer some of these projects to his son.
Juke Hardy appears to have been an engineer extra in Alien: Covenant, however, there are no photos of him as the engineer.
One can only hope Alien: Covenant sequel happens.
I just noticed one thing when the Engineers were subdued by the black goo, their eyes appeared very black.

@Ingeniero You're welcome.
Those helmets do look very unpractical and uncomfortable.
But their sole purpose was to protect the knight from swords, maces and other weapons.

dk - I know the answer. Ridley Scott is an alien or an A.I., undeniably.
Scott wants more Alien movies, we want more Alien movies, everybody is happy...
This is the beginning of a beautiful future. 8D
And I started screaming again...
Ingeniero - '...my wife has now politely asked me not to share this personal interest in Alien with others.'
It can be the story of a new Alien movie. 8)
BigDave - Some people think that the movie Life belongs to The Thing universe. If you look at the closing scene... :)
dk - I didn't think it wasn't a true story. :)
I would like too much to see the Duality of a couple seen in AC with David and Walter, but with a follower who forms this famous alliance, meaning much discussed, which we hope will be found again in the next chapter.
"Au Revoir Shoshanna"
its all a god dam conspiracy I tell u. A DAM CONSPIRACY. Burke explains why there wasn't a large mission sent to the colony to investigate when hes explaining to Ripley why he sent the colonists to explore the grid reference without warning. he doesn't want anyone to know about the xeno as he wants claim of it himself. hes fucking everyone over for a god dam percentage
wev all talked in length about this scene and its still being debated. for me its one of the worst scenes, explanation wise, RS has ever done. the fight scene itself is fine its just the timeline that is messed up. RS has stated it is David and not walter at the end of the film which ok I can take, but it just doesn't hold water how it could be done. Daniels is unaware of the damage inflicted on Walter during the fight so that part is fine, its all the rest. and as far as the book goes. I don't hold the book in any regard at all. its a decent read but it has far too many inconsistences in it to be taken as gospel.
MRE instant drink lol- an obvious nod to a military MRE. A standard MRE can make alcohol with the bread, koolaid pack and some water- prison brew, interestingly. Nasty but gets desired results. The Resurrection blend is obviously more refined.
I guess we have to leave the door open for spirits, but the food has to be cornbread unless someone can cite a proper food referenced in a franchise movie.
Or we have a good ol' bottle of JD from Covenant

Found another one.

I'm up for this! Ill even drink Fosters just for the novelty of it.
Right. I have pitched my idea on a multi front way to make the franchise palatable to fans of all stripes in a calm and reasoned way to no avail. Regrettably, I will resort to a tantrum.
Disney and Sir Scott, respectfully:

It's good for you, boy. Eat it.
I agree with Ingeniero in that there is footage for an up coming movie although there is no evidence. It seems to follow that considering the amount of time Rapace was there, the trailers and cutting room floor footage that was there- also considering costs and opportunities to make the most of the filming while everyone and everything was there, it would make sense to shoot as much as possible- just in case. It could at least be used as footage for flash backs and such for future movies?
It is interesting to hear about Disney possibly thinking about its longer term streaming strategy. I have held that the Alien franchise could shoot off into 3 streaming directions and possibly a 4th (idea sparked from joylitt):
1. A series that focuses on AI. More cerebral' light on action
2. One that focuses on Engineers. 70% cerebral; 30% action. More of a middle ground.
3. Focus on the Xenomorph. 60% action; 40% story/cerebral.
All percentages are arbitrary and reflect only a general compass.
4. Episodical in the spirit of Black Mirror/Twilight Zone. It would be set in the general Alien universe, but each episode would be its own thing.
This is a repeated post http://www.alien-covenant.com/topic/47276
But here's my opinion anyway... Ridley seems to be talking about the taget audience and he says Disney are the best in what they do. So probably yeah, he might be thinking about retooling the franchise so it can be more accessible to a younger audience. Not necessarity a PG-13, but maybe a restricted movie that is teen friendly, in the "It" fashion.
Considering his projects, it almost sounds like he is wanting to pass the torch without appearing to ask.
I think we should have a week long Alien Meal Week in the worst winter month(February) for something fun to do. The theme would be cornbread and beer since those are the only real foods/beverages identified in the series as far as I know. If some one wants to make an analogue to the white stuff emitted from androids or modify a recepie from Walter's garden, fine. Personally, I would go for a good chunk of cornbread (center piece) with a decent beer and maybe a non canonical bowl of chili.
Walter's Ganja Craft Beer from Colorado.
Colorado? Hmm... Here is a basic response:
The seven Colorado craft breweries sending products overseas include:
- Left Hand Brewing Co. — Longmont;
- Great Divide Brewing Co. — Denver;
- Oskar Blues Brewery of Longmont;
- New Belgium Brewing — Fort Collins;
- Odell Brewing Co. — Fort Collins;
- Crazy Mountain Brewery — Edwards; and
- Ska Brewing Co. — Durango.
For canned beer, why not Foster's? As Montey Python correctly observed when comparing Fosters to standard American beer at the time- paraphrase- "American beer is like making love in a canoe- f"£king close to water".
Scott Free productions does film and TV, and this could mean that he will produce the Merlin film(s) on top of other films and shows concurrently. However, Disney should strike while the iron is hot on Alien, there is clearly major fan interest all over the internet right now, and if Disney's film PR team is smart, they'll start throwing out nuggets of hope for the franchise, which means $$$$$$$$$$$ for the mouse house.
One huge thing - he next film, hoping that it happens, must have memorable characters, which also prints money from merchandise for the mouse house.
What is a good exported Colorado Beer?
