Thanks for sharing that and while that was a great read, I prefer the Xeno Alien species to be a mysterious killing/breeding machine... void of reason or conscience. The SJ's on the other hand, they should have an agenda. They are the boot about to smash the ants, as Craigamore previously posted, (and I have believed for some time)... and they should care less. Just because we think we're important to the cosmic mix... doesn't mean they do.

There are endless examples of this throughout the history of Sci Fi and Fantasy movies and of course pre dating celuloid. Any Alien species with the capability of making it to Earth would be consideded as advanced in comparison to Humans as the tech needed to travel such great spans of space and time would be in essence advanced.... Star Trek, 2001, 2010, The Thing, V, Falling Skys and on and on. Good topic though.

@Spartacus, a really interesting connection... As Prometheus Entertainment started in 1999 with Hollywood/famous biographies, there does not seem any immediate connection to Ancient Aliens/the Prometheus myth - so only coincidence apparently... The first 2009 production / pilot(?) was totally explicit in it's debt to Erich von Daniken: "Ancient Aliens: Chariots, Gods and Beyond". It has been commented on elsewhere the possible danikean themes in Prometheus (along with all the other influences: Kubrick's 2001, HP Lovecraft, etc). Bottom line: enjoying watching Ancient Aliens - thanks for the info.

@Shambhala, Oh ya, I've seen that.. I thought you were talking about something else. I also have a few other images that I have enhanced on that image.. I think their is an entrance in the middle of that structure and not only that, behind the mist is the temple.. you want to see the pictures? I've wondered if that is the derelict under there..

Make of them what you like.. but I did notice that in the first Detail photo, when I was adjusting some level, that the middle oppened up.. but it could be anything. @danrald, your photos can be seen better the silhouette of the building... apparently during the creation of life on Earth already had a laboratory or Temple of creation...but we cannot be 100% sure that that is the flashback

@Aquila210 the German version and the Spanish version has a few small differences, curiously in the Spanish version of the trailer does not mention the word Prometheus or Theus. Rather says the approaches, the approaches or is coming, is coming. In my opinion Spain made a mistake in translating the trailer ... buy the way very nice image of xenomorph. Regards

no, I dont think its a building on the foto with the UFO..its just rock structures of the waterfall ( in iceland)

@Shambhala Yes, I think they've tried to use other footage of the already translated material to make it fit to the length of the original intro sequence. The distress call to Prometheus is new. The German "Bitte!!!" ("please!!!") didn't sound very convincing to me, though. But if they have the same voice for Noomi that was used in the Stig Larsson movies it will be ok - Lisbeth translated very well! Also this means that the post-production is on a good way since they are have already recruited the staff for the international voiceovers and are working on the international releases. I wish I could sneak into one of those dubbing studios... And yes I was so happy tp meet an orginal H.R. Giger Alien after all these years! Best regards, Aquila210

@Aquila210, There is a theory that I read in this forum some time a go, which said that the radio call of "Prometheus" is the same signal of warning of "Alien, the eighth passenger". The argument would be that Elizabeth Shaw made the call or radio message to warn the seed of mankind about the dangers of Zeta Reticuli. Perhaps not the best analogy but can be like the girl in "The blair witch project". Perhaps voice of shaw sounds distorted in Alien that the message was taxed inside the spacecraft jockey, then the alien technology translated the voice of Shaw to sj language...

@Shambhala Now that you say it I remember having read about this... The idea is valid, yet I am not buying it, just a feeling. But any guess is as good as the other. If it would be true that would be a very nice tie-in to the Alien series, for sure.

I'm a newbie here and not sure how to open a new thread, but I have a question that I don't recall anyone addressing so far: in the trailer, the guy (Holloway) get's his face spayed with acid, but it's pretty clear his helmet is still intact.Any thoughts on what is happening exactly?
