@Aquila210 YES, it most likely that this will not happen. Maybe those voices are just dialogues and were decorated with interference to give more suspense and mystery to the trailer. Turn can be transmitted from the Prometheus communications to alert the explorers, and unfortunately missing 121 days to know lol

@markcbelfats I think that Holloway is mutating, possibly infected by the substance containing the Urns/ampules.
With respect to threads, go up and to your right you will find a list of the categories: Prometheus discussions, Community discussion and Alien discussion...after clicking on one of them see a list of topics lso have already been... above the long list on the right side you will see the word New Topic, you click and you can make a new thread.
PS: If it has not entirely clear, talk to @Rick or @Bug-hunter, I think they are moderators

markcbelfast - Which clip are you referring to? This one...

or this one...

The reason I ask is no one seems to really be able to tell if that is Holloway in the 1st pic, but it appears that it is him in the 2nd (see ...WAY at the end of the nameplate on his 'cap'). There is the assumption the 1st and 2nd pic are connected, but I still don't think anyone is sure.
As to how the 'acid' or 'infection' gets to them while their helmet is on... I honestly have no ideas other than whatever is in the ampules is the most likely culprit.

@Membrane I have read rumors that the first photo (of smoke) is the mutant Guy

But anyway it is very likely that the subject is Holloways
ReplyMembranePrometheus ForumNew International TrailersFeb 7, 2012
Shambhala, I've read the same theories. You know, they really did a great job on the trailer where it introduces so many questions, yet no information that could lead to solid answers were ever given.
ReplyCypherPrometheus ForumNew International TrailersFeb 7, 2012
I think the mutant jumping guy and the guy in the shot with the woman collapsing in the med bay (not David and not the guy in the wheelchair, the guy on the floor next to the guy in the wheelchair) are the same guy. Reason being is that the guy in the medbay bit and the mutant both have mohawks.
That's what I reckon anyways.
ReplyshambsPrometheus ForumNew International TrailersFeb 7, 2012
@Membrane Ya, the Working with this trailer has been magnificent, zero answers dozens of questions (perhaps hundreds lol)
And @Cypher interesting point, interesting point, I did not notice the subject in the laboratory / nursing with the mohawk
ReplycraigamorePrometheus ForumNew International TrailersFeb 7, 2012
Thanks for the translations guys, @Aquila210 and @Shambhala....very interesting stuff. And I love the theory about Shaw's trailer dialogue being translated by the SJ as the signal in 'Alien', very thought provoking.

Membrane ,
Excellent! I was hoping the image would be more juicy. Thanks!
ReplydanraldPrometheus ForumNew International TrailersFeb 7, 2012
Has anywone notice that the mutant's eyes are "leaving him"?.....
Replyjbsmit3@gmail.comPrometheus ForumNew International TrailersFeb 7, 2012
@danrald - I don't see the eyes "leaving" him but I do see that his head is "splitting" and appears to be elongated and blackish-silver. Is the "infection" from the ampule changing him into something non-human AND non-sj?
ReplyklaatuPrometheus ForumNew International TrailersFeb 7, 2012
Could be that the ampule contains the DNA a humanoid/Gods and when exposed to a already formed human that it reverts the subject slowly back to its original form. Neolithic man/ape perhaps. Just a theory....and not really a good one but its all I've got.
The mutant seems quite ape like and posesses the basic instincts to attack.
Ahhh the wait is doing my head in.............!!!
ReplydanraldPrometheus ForumNew International TrailersFeb 7, 2012
Jbsmit3,
Blackish-silver? I'm going to have to look at that again.. Looks like his eyes are gone to me.. but its been a while since I've looked.. lol.

@keYserSOze Very nice Thread, And in my opinion the Tyranids of Warhammer 40000 are more similar to Xenomorphs, much more than the Zerg in Starcraft
ReplyshambsPrometheus ForumWarhammer 40k TyranidsFeb 7, 2012
@keYserSOze certainly Warhammer 40k is a huge and great universe influenced by many franchises

@Shambhala, IMO, The figure that you have with the Terminator looks more like General Grievous from Star Wars. What do you think?

what I love, is that in every single thing man kind has found on earth that has some supposed influence from the "Ancient Astronaut" theory, TRIANGLES can be found everywhere. There is NO question in my mind that most if not all of the theories presented in the series ANCIENT ALIENS are, in the long run, going to turn out to be proven facts. I now believe completely that what man kind has percieved as GODS were in fact Extra Terrestial beings and If you think about this idea, you cannot miss the thought that if we, Mankind suddenly appeared from above in any other world, we would be considered the Gods...wouldn't we?
ReplyRickKPrometheus ForumGiants of the desert or ancient astronautsFeb 7, 2012
I just finished reading Communion by Whitley Streiber - triangles figured heavily into his experiences and views.

I wonder if the gods were aliens; Which of all races would be the creator gods of humanity? Greys, Nordics, Reptilians or any of them, because you may never have been seen and the stories are false or metaphoric ... What are those belonging to the Anunnaki race?
ReplySpartacusPrometheus ForumGiants of the desert or ancient astronautsFeb 7, 2012
I am almost positive the Anunnaki or something substituting for them are going to appear in Prometheus!
ReplyshambsPrometheus ForumGiants of the desert or ancient astronautsFeb 7, 2012
Yeap the Anunakis seem to be the more closest and similar to an Engineer/SJ of Prometheus
AND lol by it of the sith XP
ReplySpartacusPrometheus ForumGiants of the desert or ancient astronautsFeb 7, 2012
"wurd"
also the more I see and learn the more the writting on the tablets themselves in the Ampule Room and on / around the Space Jockey set seem to be of the "Anunnaki" origin and/or typeface.

Maybe two or three thousand years ahead some future civilization will look upon to us and say; "these miserables of course couldn´t manage to go to Moon by themselves, surely someone helped them".
By the same measure we tend to believe that ancient men were not of the same creative brethen than us. But this is unwise. They of course were resourceful, albeit as careless as us.
If you have read "Collapse", by Jared Diamond, you know that the "moais" were put on place using rolling trees as locomotion _ and this eventually doomed them, after the last trees were consumed, and the land become sterile...
That´s, in fact, my major contempt with "Prometheus" plot, if Scott actually followed this line.
ReplySpartacusPrometheus ForumGiants of the desert or ancient astronautsFeb 7, 2012
I loved hearng in Ancient Aliens how the moon is madeup of FUEL under it's surface and the incredible significance of this.
ReplyartyohPrometheus ForumGiants of the desert or ancient astronautsFeb 7, 2012
I agree with you centrosphere. I'm still wating for someone to tell me what good could ever come of ETs deliberately and openly mucking about with early humans, early civilizations, or our civilization? To land and what?.......show us how to build ramps, make rollers, weave ropes..........sweat? What practically useful benefits ( for either side ) could result from direct interaction? There would be inumerable unforseen consequences flowing from such a cosmic event, many of which, wouldn't be pretty.
ReplyRickPrometheus ForumGiants of the desert or ancient astronautsFeb 7, 2012
The only good that came about were humans and thus me. So I think that is a good thing with them playing with our DNA. I don't think I would enjoy life as a Neanderthal, even though I'd still be sexy :P Just kidding. I think there are advantages to manipulating our genome. I'm sure since all ancient astronauts are depicted as having spacesuits on which tells me they can't breath our atmosphere. So what do you do? Play with the genome and get free labor from the local yokel's. What human doesn't want to appease their gods? Hell if I could be treated like a god and get the kings of earth to make there slaves work for me for what I would probably consider little trinkets. Just think what humans with our technology would be like if we landed wit ha Harrier Jet jumped out and talked to my Air Craft Carrier by radio and had an i-pad and a laptop computer 5,000 years ago.
ReplyartyohPrometheus ForumGiants of the desert or ancient astronautsFeb 7, 2012
I don't think so, Rick. For anything which could practically manage the trick of getting here from there, access to precious elements and energy resources would clearly no longer be a problem, so access to hopelessly unskilled slave labor doesn't really work as a credible motivation.
ReplyshambsPrometheus ForumGiants of the desert or ancient astronautsFeb 7, 2012
I agree with @artyoh , is something wrong that we create just for hecer dirty work. I'm not saying that we are the center of the universe, no; what I am trying to say is that probably we are his experiment and its breakthrough in genetic engineering sciences, perhaps as it was for us the sheep dolly, or the trip to the moon. Besides the mere fact that can travel long distances gives them an unprecedented technological progress... and its mining process will be 100% automated
PS: it is even possible to be simple visitors and no we created, or who knows, maybe time travelers; i.e. human of the future and not beings from another world.
ReplyshambsPrometheus ForumGiants of the desert or ancient astronautsFeb 7, 2012
An example: Imagine that you are visited by a creature from Venus, or Mars. This creature has Nordic features, but then NASA finds no intelligent life in our solar system.
But what if the Venusians or Martians are human settlers of the future?
Perhaps now there is no life in other corners of our solar system, but in the future who knows. In this case we are Aliens (just a matter of evolution)
ReplycraigamorePrometheus ForumSo, the battered head, rubble and dead SJ. Trouble on the SJ planet, yes? DiscFeb 7, 2012
I think your reading a little too much into it all....I feel as though the giant monolithic head has just been there for eons, thus the weathered look....and I get the sense that whatever the crew find on this planet, they're waking it up from a long deep slumber, so to speak....that's more what this feels like to me.
