Not sure about the lines - remind me of Mayan "landing strips" Remember Von Daniken is a big influence on this project according to Scott, so expect some kind of Mayan cultural references. Actually, they predicted doom in 2012 - maybe this is what they were talking about? 23 looks like it's more robotic - possible a vehicle or chunkier loader type thing. Wouldn't surprise me if they brought more machinery into the battle - think about merchandising and how popular those things were after Aliens.

Can you get a still at :23 seconds brighten it up a little bit more, reverse the colors and adjust the contrast?

could this be a set up? what if it was meant to be leaked and then snatched back up? If it was a theater, I would think for a better quality but it looks like someone was sitting in the main editing room with the big screen...could our pal lindolf leaked this as some way to get the attention of the impatient fans? I think there is more to this than we are seeing....

Hey Bio, The Wild Card could be the behind the scenes title for the Trailer. Anyone else notice the #2 (angled down to the right at 45 degrees) on the left hand side? Ok, I've been bouncing between the grey scale and the black white images. What I've found in Game_Overs still at :23 is a weird looking Xeno climbing down over some machinery towards two people in space suits talking to each other face on. The reason I say that is compare the grey above (White scale picture) the black and then compare the same image in (Black Scale/ Regular) you see light glinting off the top and curve of a xeno head. This would be a typical angle of attack for a xeno from the movies. What I thought looked like hip joints are face masks and some sort of additional suit lighting (possible backlit keyboards) that looked like knees but could be elbow joints of the suits. This is what I'm finding anyways can anyone corroborate Regards, Rick

Yeah, I like ur thinking Rick, there's a Xeno with a diff shape head that also matches the shape around 42 secs. I wonder if it's clambering around the Jockey, almost like a pet? Remember the report about the blue Xeno's with different heads caught having lunch at Shepperton? hehe This is getting even more interesting...all coming together :)

Holy Shit. I need stills between :40-:42. There's a xeno shot head on but its like a tenth of a second before it moves behind the suit and I can't catch it with the current frame rate.

Okay, this is from not a movie theater, at 54 seconds into, you can pause and see a silhouette of someone there and there are reflections throughout the trailer. As if someone is sitting lose to the screen and recording it from a monitor.

Exactly Cain and it's picking up all kinds of extraneous shapes that can be interpreted a million different ways. If they put this in a focus group and hired people to conduct surveys then I don't think they expect it to be kept much of a secret. We should see this soon I expect.

i found the footage file after searching for it on google, and downloaded it to my pc. Maybe u guys figured it out too.. Even without sound and with bad quality, one can see how creepy and mindblowing this will be lol. I wonder what movie will they attach the trailer to ..

The "derelict" is in the trailer, so are the eggs, so's Ripley by all accounts - how is this not an Alien prequel? :)

I believe that this is an Alien Prequel just named differently...it is not starting to seep out and I think FOX knows they can't hold on too much longer to the secret. Just a matter of time before more footage gets out..remember they show these testing's at different places, so hopefully someone out there got better footage....

Great discussion here! I have to say I just watched Alien on vhs just because I wanted to. I have to say that comparing alien to alens is like comparing Ozzy to Black Sabbath. Black Sabbath was dark, elusive, gritty and spooky where Ozzy is just loud and crazy, just in your face metal! Anyhow just an observation I made. But after watch Alien and looking at the pictures for Peometheu I love knowing that the crew of Prometheus is a science team and the nostromo crew was a group of mineral prospectors. Cause the Nostromo is all greasy while promwtheus is all pristine like a very expensive piece of equipent. I think that it is really cool that the space suits in Prometheus look a little more high end while in Alien theis look kinda like hand me downs. I am willing to say that Robert Clotworthy is going to voice the AI of the Prometheus ship kind of like how nostromo has mother. If anybody on this blog still has alien in VHS do yourself a favor and watch it. It will be like listening to one of your favorite albums on vinyl you cant replicate the sound of the needle.

Found this little addition at IMDB I think it was... Private Trevor Wierzbowski Private Wierzbowski (Trevor Steedman) is barely seen at all in the film. He is injured when the ammunition bag, which had been carried by Frost, detonates and is then attacked and either killed or taken by an Alien off-screen. It's presumed he died shortly after since Hudson did not mention his vital signs when he noticed Apone's and Dietrich's. He was armed with a flamethrower. The novelization by Alan Dean Foster states that Ripley liked Wierzbowski. and as mentioned earlier I discovered a sex scene between Ripley & Dallas was originally created and shot but never used in the film. also, the ending of that film, The studios refused to allow Scott to shoot the end he wrote and wanted...in which the Xenomorph bites Ripley's head off, gets in her Command chair, and communicates with Earth in Ripley's Voice. Thinking...... If Ridley were being cerebral concerning the method of dealing with the Xenomorph. In a pressurized spacecraft projectile weapons would not only present a danger to the atmospheric integrity of the Nostromo, they also create a great deal of recoil in a zero gravity situation which could occur should the spacecraft lose it's artificial gravity for whatever reason. Now imagine when the fusion reactors on the Nostromo went critical if the artificial gravity had been shut off. the terror of floating along corridors having to pull yourself along towards the Narcissus. With todays CGI and film budgets who knows. However, back on point. I hate to think that the most obvious analogies will be brought to life by Ridley in high definition before our eyes. I'm hoping and I'm sure I'm not the only one that he delivers some SMART shocks that even the most hardcore fans didn't see coming. The saddest thing is that I've read some brilliant theories here that would take Prometheus to that lofty plateau of a thinking "sentients" horror film if they appeared in the film. (Crosses fingers and sips campari and soda while watching holovids from the security of a non inertial pilots lounge).

at this point we can assume that ash said that because aliens are NOT very weak to fire ...there are alot of flamethrowers in any of the alien movies but i didint see them very effective ... so we can suppose ash did say that because he had something to say .
