After looking at some comic-Con stills, I'm beginning to think about Noomi Rapaces character. Looks like she get examined after some impregnation process. Fassbender's droid is there purely on a scientific evidence gathering role at the expense of crew if necessary. I think he impregnates Rapace with some primordial goo. There's a shot of her staggering out of a mess, looking like she metamorphosing into some kind of Xeno. I think anyway, hard to say. But it's what I'd like to happen lol Anyway, was at Frankfurt Film Museum earlier, they have the original Alien suit on display, had a good look, and there's definitely human features about it. The skull embedded behind the dome - looks like grotesque human mutation. I don't think they'd get rid of Rapace so early in the film, but what if she was oblivious to the metamorphosis process. What if there was total paranoia because only Fassbender knows she was impregnated and won't disclose because he wants to see how much of a beast she can be? Imagination - terrible affliction haha

i was too of the opinion that the noomi character was "impregnated" and then she was not the movie-hero ..but her interviews seems indicate the opposite ( remember that there is another female in the crew , not counting theron ) ..remember that she said that her character ,from mid movie ,have to become a fighter .

I theorized on a metamorphisis scenario a while back and a controlled experiment by the androids [url=http://www.prometheus-movie.com/news/63]here[/url] but I assumed the victim was going to be Vickers. That is who I though was in that comic con scene. Seeing Shaw in a scanner could mean something important! Spoiler or just a terrifying looking scene with no real significance? It is about time we get something other than a badly compressed cell phone video or screen capture. Id rather have things revealed in a bit higher definition jeez.

Bio, I always did agree with your scenario on that. You know what if they didn't get the co'ords to the Jockey Planet from a dig in Africa. What if they got it from the human genome by finding hidden markers in our code. Since Danniken and the whole ancient astronaut theory is based on Aliens playing with our DNA and spurring on our evolution, so why not? Now getting back on subject so the goo in the vases could be some sort of mutating genetic slurry. What about nanite suspension? I thought I brought that up on a previous post. It could be some sort of bio-suspension for holding eggs and keeps them dormant. That would be the only real way to impregnate someone otherwise what you put goo in their body somewhere? Grey goo would be able to take on different forms too like maybe a tongue like appendage. Where have we seen such a thing hmmm. One of the synopsis said they would battle for the future of the human race, I wonder if they save us from ecophagy by grey goo?

I'm thinking it's from an internet survey. I got something similar recently, rated the top 5 movies I was looking forward to after reading a synopsis for each, and then it gave me an American Reunion trailer and unreleased clips from American Reunion to review. I think he lucked out and they're showing different previews to everyone, or it was a similar survey being conducted for the same company. Possibly with a small quota so that they only show this trailer to a certain number. The survey I took had a slightly altered/condensed synopsis, and I've seen it twice now (because I cheat a little bit) it gave me American Reunion stuff this last time, even though I only put it in my top 5 the first time. So if it is that survey, it could be randomly giving people whichever trailer. It told me which one would be playing but switched to a weird animation, showed an animated TV and made it look like you were viewing the TV in an animated living room. Meaning some ppl might go oh well that looks alright but decide not to share it with us, because I think it was meant to simulate just randomly watching one from some movie on TV(even had animated popcorn and put me in first person). After the animation begins the animated TV flicks on and the screen zooms in and switches to full screen where the trailer it said you'd be watching starts (this is all part of the survey being displayed on a webpage you can only access if youre a member of that site, get the right survey invitation and have the survey code). It could be really hard to capture the video from this animation thing because it zooms back to that after. I think you could pause it but not go back or forward with the American Reunion stuff I watched. I didn't think to capture it on my cell, or at all, because Reunion isn't that important. Maybe it was the only way he could get it. Also the synopsis I saw days earlier when I saw the Reunion stuff included the words "the Weyland Corporation", I posted it on AVPgalaxy, but I didn't see anything about this in this guys imdb thread so it's possible he's doing a similar movie survey, that maybe asked different questions leading up to the trailer it played.

Hey Bio, I did see it. Can you do me a huge favor can you slow the frame rate way down some more? I need stills from :40-:42. Also need them in reverse color like the other ones Game_Over did for me were I found what looked like a xeno. I can plainly see a xeno in the flamethrower shot but I can't catch a head shot it moves waaaay to fast. Regards, Rick

I wonder what the look of the Prometheus and Magellan will be like. I love that there is a ship called the Magellan in this movie! I wonder if the Magellan has a history in the movie as if it was a failed attempt to find any alien life form but got lost in space somewhere or the Space Jockeys are using the crew as an experiment. I don't know, just a thought I had. I know I have posted this before but after seeing some actual moving footage now I really hope this movie has an action figure line. Looking at all the toy fare magazines and knowing that there are prototype figures of Alien made that were the size of Star Wars figures back when Alien came out really brings a feeling of regret to my heart that they never saw the shelves. I be so stoked if this movie had a toy line just seeing how the space suits look and how the land vehicles have that Syd Mead be so cool to have as a figure line.

MANY VIDEO CAPTURE PROGRAMS AND CARDS...include editing software for AVI's, MPEG's and/or just about any other type of file and include programs that will allow you to re-encode them and/or even re-record them @ different frame rates or different just about anything elses... I love the space suits that are totally influenced by the original space suits in Alien. Only these suits are the science crew suits! That picture that Biomechanic posted where the guy in the space suit is blasting the flamethrower is just INTENSE and EPIC!!!!! I've said it before and I'll say it again that there had better be an action figure line for this movie ( and I am talking action figures that are the same scale of Star Wars and GI Joe 3 and 3and 3/4th scale all the way baby!!)! But I have to say this is the coolist forum. I hope that the romour Ridley makes more Prometheus movies is true just because I love reading these posts in anticipation for this movie and the excitement everyone is feeling about it on this forum is contagious! There is a still that shows someone in a space suit jumping over some hatch doors opening up, could that be something that belongs to the space jockeys? Please keep this discussion going! U might be right, but knowing that there IS already a trailer being tested, i think we will have it in december sometime. This short low quality stuff is so hot i cant believe it, i will see this in the theatres at least 20 times. I hope we will have a choice of 2D and 3D though, while im sure Ridley will rock 3D too. Im thinking it would be cool if the trailer was attached to the US version of Girl with a Dragon tattoo (although I did not want to see that, perfectly fine with the swedish version).

I thoroughly believe so too after hearing about this leaked footage and how it came from a survey (I just posted a little about this at the end of that thread). I took a similar survey just days before that was presenting me with many descriptions of upcoming movies to rate and rank. Everything from Snow White and the Huntsmen , Movie 43, lots of romantic comedies, The Raven etc. to John Carter, Dark Knight Rises, Avengers, MIB III (which this guy mentioned in his imdb thread), and Prometheus. I thought they could just be guessing at some of these bigger movies because some were pretty vague, but I copied the text for those last five anyway. The Prometheus synopsis stood out because it uses stuff we've already seen before and fits with what we've heard. Some differences to note are they say android scientists plural right in this one, and reveal the name of the company. At first I didn't fully believe and thought they were collecting info from different sources but I'm posting it here again, I've been debating starting a thread for it somewhere as it didn't get much attention, but maybe just because everyone already assumes Weyland's involved from the logo. At the very least all this suggests a very strong connection to Alien. Anyways this is what they gave me in the survey I took with footage from American Reunion (I think the trailer you review in depth at the end was random) it may just confirm some things now. I'm more inclined to believe they didn't just add details and include it in their survey now that I know people are being surveyed on the trailer. what we can say ? 1) the giant head is not driving any ship ...is in stone on a distant planet 2 )there is the other woman with noomi exploring ...maybe she is the one falling down and/or infected ? 3) ok noomi is the central character 4) fassbender look sintetic to me :p

The female is listed in on IMDB and Scott calls this room the Ampulee Room from what is says on the picture.

Awesome Find Frantz ! ! ! They're walking in the Ampule Room. This lends to the Metamorphosis Theory. Here is the definition of Ampule: am·pule   [am-pyool, -pool] Show IPA noun Medicine/Medical . a sealed glass or plastic bulb containing solutions for hypodermic injection. Injection to me means a mutation scenario maybe she was pregnant and the fetus mutated? Food for thought. Regards, Rick

The future is spacesuits that dont get dirty after crawling into an alien Ampule room! Anyone else wondering why the hell they took their helmets off? Sorry, but id keep mine on im a hypochondriac.

Anyone else notice the irritated look in Fassbenders face when he looks at Noomi? Hey take the Ampule Room mirror it and there you have the shot from :23 in the phone video trailer. The two helmeted people facing toward each other and the grey matter in the background is the forehead. What I thought looked like a xeno head is the side of the nostril from the head and the glint is from the wire crossing the nose.

These are production shots, so they will look all plastic and new but the movie itself will have the same look as Alien as Scott said cinematography wise....

yeah I know I was kidding but the helmet thing... I see a lot of that in the comic con clips too. I wonder whose idea that was, Android I bet. "Take your helmets off the air is fine. NO, no take a big deep breath near that urn."
