There's literally nothing biomechanical left on the protomorph design. So I guess the next film will need to bridge that gap too.

I dont think its massively different, a lot of the Alien Concepts and Gigers work on paper did not quite look as Bio-Mechanical as the 1979 Big Chap, and each movie since the Bio-Mechanical Atheistic gets toned down.

I think they will however have to eventually bridge that gap to show us something more closer to the 1979 Alien.
