The upcoming Alien TV series by Noah Hawley is set to get cameras rolling by September this year! Recently the Alien series hired production designer Andy Nicholson and some revealing (spoiler-ish) concept art leaked online for Alien Day. Casting announcements should start to roll out soon.
According to the latest Production Weekly listing, the series will begin filming September 2023. Prior to this update, filming was expected to kick off this past March.
Hawley's Alien TV series will take place before the Ellen Ripley storyline and established film quadrilogy. The setting for the show will also be set on Earth in the "near future" (roughly 70 years from now) rather than on board a spaceship or station. The series will also tackle Transhuman concepts and the blending of Human consciousness with Synthetic / robotic bodies. Of course, the show will include a variety of Aliens as well. Character details for the show were discovered online last year.
Noah Hawley's Alien: Earth TV series arrives this summer on Disney+ / Hulu and FX Networks! The first 2 episodes will begin streaming August 12th, 2025 and the show will span 8 hour-long episodes! You can find a list of the episodes titles and their release dates here.
