The official full length trailer for Alien: Earth dropped today and the new footage teased has given us our first look at the Facehugger design in the show! We have taken screenshots from the new trailer for closer analysis and have edited them below to give you a closer look at some of the unique design attributes the series' own Aliens have and how they compare to previous versions of the Alien organism.
From the trailer:

We get a quick cut-scene of an unsuspecting person stumbling upon a Facehugger, which then latches itself onto his face. The cut-scene is lightening quick, much like a Facehugger's strike.
Lightened version:

This lightened up version shows more of the Facehugger's unique design features. You'll notice red tones around the knuckle joints of the Facehugger's fingers. The red undertones continue around the body and in between the vertebrae. Unlike the Facehuggers seen in Alien (1979) which sported a fleshy / beige color palette throughout its entire body. In Alien: Romulus the Facehuggers sported a mix of beige and brown color palettes. The red undertone could simply be a design preference for the show or they may indicate aspects of the Facehugger morphology we have yet to discover.
More than one Facehugger?

The trailer also teases more than one Ovomorph / Xenomorph Egg recovered from the downed USCSS Maginot craft. However the series focuses on one Xenomorph, this may foreshadow a second Xenomorph - or the fact Prodigy manages to secure the second Egg for their own research - a cliffhanger which leads into Season 2.
