A bad experiment gone awry? A space jockey bioweapon that backfires? Human origins, meaning because of the crew of the Prometheus, this creature came into existence? Thoughts?

Hey Cain, There is no way the Alien could be a natural organism. It would devastate any bio-system it was in, much like humans but on a much faster scale. Thus it had to have been engineered. We did discuss this a while back. I still think Humans and Aliens could be opposite sides of the same card. We get dropped on a rock we devastate the ecosystem (or terraform it depending on environmental needs), work for the jockey's in the process, bring it to the brink and right when the atmosphere begins to tilt the Aliens get dropped off to clean up the biological and the jockey's have a barren freshly terraformed planet. Granted this may take hundreds of thousands of years but if the Jockey's are as old as the stars what is a 100K-200K years and little to no resources out of pocket? Short answer nothing. Regards, Rick

Thanks mate! yeah, I know there are several theories that are floating around. Being engineered makes sense to me..I mean, it grew rather fast as we saw in Alien. I am wandering if it started off as another creature or perhaps something happens in Prometheus where human dna and the whatever is in that canister starts . Of course, the ship with all those eggs in there had to come from some where and was perhaps the jockey dumping them somewhere or going to do a kamikaze into a distant sun? I know in Alien, the signal was repeating, warting off anyone..a warning or has that changed?

Ruh, You would love a Torus. It's a Circle within a Circle, neither having a start nor a finish and go on inifinitely. Although you can degenerate the two circles into each other to form the surface of a sphere. Take a Heavy Bong hit blow it into a torus and think about that for several hours. Regards, Rick
