@ Thadus - Its not a wind up, I witnessed it in the cinemas, my friend when he rented on VHS, but very few people have seen this omitted scene. @ Thadus - maybe, maybe not.

Joss Whedon's script for ALIEN RESURRECTION went through five different versions of the final battle with the Newborn in such settings as a hospital maternity ward, a giant junkyard, a forest, a cliffside, and a desert. and I have seen only 2 of them I think or this is so good I forget seeing it.

@ Thadus12 - You may have missed it, or it may have only been in the preview screening, they used to do that, don't know if they still do. @ Sparky - you almost got the points, but now you're further away.

Another clue, I think... The scene from Alien Rez in question is intact in the DVD release minus the word spoken, but it was present in the preview screening at the cinema and again at VHS rental.

Does the newborn scream 'HELP' Cant understand why this would be omitted? According to you-tube it says 'MAMA'

@ Thadus12 - wrong again, and it's not on youtube, nice try. The omitted word was probably cut because it was too disturbing at the time, But I've never understood why it does not appear as an extra on the DVD.

Is it possible than, that this is something the creature would have said, not as it is dying but as it rejects it's true ALIEN Birth Mother, fails to bond with it, and Kills it instead, then moving over to Ripley as if Ripley is it's true Mother?

Can anyone pip Sparky to the post, or will he miss yet again?

Man is this editor a problem It keeps erasing my posts when I make a change to them. As the Newborn turns away form it's True Birth Mother which it has just killed it turns towards Ripley and in a high pitched almost begging or pleading like tone it says what sounds like one word.... "Riiiiiiiiipleeeeeeeeeey" or "Mooomeeeee" it is very hard to tell...but it doies sound like the first one. I could be way off but it would be easy to see why such a thing would be cut form future releases of the script/film.

Lol this question is just too darn evil....
