Nut

Is very probable that something will born from Shaw ( the pregnant images ..her with the legs full of blood ..her face in pain ) .... there was that image in the leaked trailer ..that sort of "serpent" moving ...and also that image of a flamethrower used against something not very tall ... So yes your theory is very plausible .
btw i hope she will not deliver a nut... scrat from the ice age can arrive ...

Frantz, VERY possible. I think there are going to be a lot of different alien forms in this movie. That's a lot of ampules. If they have DNA in them it's a possibility that they aren't just one type.

I had similar thoughts. Truly the painting gives a lot of information on this subject.
For me it looks like the "Space Jockeys" have found new species in their search for life in space. Perhaps they have studied this primordial life form and used it to perfect any creature or themselves. This new way of breeding opened up many possibilities for a new area of exploration in epigenetics. Maybe every facehugger carries cell info (or the consciousness) of its ancestor as a messenger for the new born perfected lifeform. But it could also be the other way around...
The film makers used H.R. Giger's drawings to give birth to the creature in the big screen. The following drawings of his prove this:

It is also worth mentioning that H.R Giger has a "mystical" approach in drawing. His main drawings have an almost "sexist" or "sexually twisted" (excuse me for the word use) but only for the naked eye.

We have to deal with Giger's drawings as to be of another world or better say of another dimension. He uses a lot of sexuality in all of his drawings. Sexuality in Mysticism related to the serpent energy (Kundalini) rising from the root of the spine (root chakra=sex=expression) moving all the way up to the head (crown chakra=divine). It is linked to expression and all the artistic part of life, from the birth of desire to the conception of an idea until its full expression (divine nature).

I think I'm going a bit crazy here, but hey, I had to share this with you :)

Well the odd thing about the movie is the time frame. When the ship lands, snow is on the mountains. Later when you see the vehicles moving to the "ship" on the paved road, there is no snow. Well of course this could be a different planet, or a different part of the same planet. But it would not be far fetched if they discover no living creatures, but they have all of these ampules with "things" in it. They could easily cultivate a specimen in the women.. Xenos will be in the movie, I think they are just hiding it for a good surprise, they are not going to be normal xenos.

It's plausible (it is after all, a movie,) but I highly doubt that the "Alien" was a human invention.
Prominent in several trailers is the scene where they come across the giant human face, with tons of waist-high "trash can" like structures that look similar to eggs, and the chamber from the original movie.
A completely different direction, if you consider the space jockey, notice that what looks like its nose tapers into its abdomen--umbilical? I think its likely (since there's rumor there will be NO xenomorph in the film) that it could be part of the lifecycle of the space jockey. The thing that everyone talks about being on Shaw looks like it could be a chestburster OR a facehugger--the clip is too tantalazing to give us ALL its secrets... but one thing that IS clear is an umbilical cord.
[complete conjecture...]

I love the theory, Biomechanic. Every alien life form we get a glimpse of in the trailers can be found somewhere in that painting.
