I've always seen the character of David of the Prometheus equivalent of Ash in the original Alien. Not sure why. Probably because the androids In the series have usually turned out to be company drones. But wasn't there a rumour of 2 androids in Prometheus? We usually only have 1 so I wonder if saving 2 is significant to the plot? David certainly appears to be a hugely important character in the film from what we have seen so far.

Maybe the humans turn on innocent androids and do unspeakable things to them setting up Ash's distaste for humanity.

Biomechanic: "Maybe the humans turn on innocent androids and do unspeakable things to them setting up Ash's distaste for humanity."
Well that would imply that David's memories are accessible by Ash and/or other androids or a central computer, at a later date.

The actor has an elegant figure. Would the casting crew choose this face to trick us? Could be another "malfunctioning Ash" android or a "trustworthy Bishop".
The story so far: Ash="bad", Bishop="good", Cole="good"... Mathematically is 1 out of 3 to be bad.
In my humble opinion, we will never know until we watch the movie and as has said: I like implications. : )

Let me add to the above: its not an "Alien" movie so I shouldn't use the "good" & "bad" analogy, neither refer to the the Alien franchise.
PS: CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH IT!!!

what i fear is that putting there an android and the "company suit" will be very hard to avoid cliches ....
