MemberOvomorph12/26/2011Lol thank you Spartacus and Frantz
I think this movie will leave them with options to go in many different directions to make a Sequel existing in that 30yr period.

MemberOvomorph12/26/2011was an old idea connected with the first scripts (making 2 movies) ...i dont know if they completely dropped it ( too expensive ) ..maybe will depend by the incomes ( noomi opened at that possibility in an interview ) !!

Spartacus
MemberOvomorph12/26/2011I think after the suits count the money and YOU see this, you will tell everyone on this planet out there beyond your door that there should be one and because of it there will be another one thanks to you...The Original "DeKomposer".
Disclaimer; I also think, so will the rest of us!!!

MemberOvomorph12/26/2011i was told, that Scott planned for a trilogy with PROMETHEUS, the deal is,
if this new film makes the money the studio heads need, then the 2 films that
are supposed to follow PROMETHEUS are green-lit
if not, then we can pretty much count out another ALIEN related film,
so i am hoping against hope that this new film makes what it needs to
get the other 2 film pushed / approved for production
time will tell.....

MemberOvomorph12/26/2011what if the squeal to Prometheus is a remake of alien ?!?!?!?!?!?! lol probably not going to happen but that could be interesting if that were right :)

MemberOvomorph12/27/2011I don't mind a decent remake...still wanne see "the thing"....cause that one is apparently decent enough from what i have heard so far...tho it is actually intended as a prequel.
But i really don't like the idea of a alien remake....no Sigourney or Ridley?...no thanks !
As for sequels to Prometheus yeah if they run parallel to the alien franchise and they get decent directors....actually would be awesome if Cameron made a sequel...or Ridley sticks to the franchise...or if they co-direct...imagine?

MemberOvomorph12/27/2011The Thing (2011) is not a remake and excuse my demeanor here but does anybody actually read anything? It is a prequel....dealing with the Norwegians encampment and the events that took place right before the events in the Carpenter version....I say version, because Carpenters itself, was the third film based on the same story. "Who Goes There?".

MemberOvomorph12/27/2011Oh, and it isn't bad. Juxt, just go into it with reasonable expectations and you will enjoy it. It is nothing groundbreaking or amazing but a decent companion to the previous film.

MemberOvomorph12/27/2011na i did not like the new thing very much. i guess it wasn't BAD but it was not good either, it was just a crappier version of the 82 john carpenter film, and it looks terrible in comparison, CGI cant hold up to real puppets :) but its still kind of fun to watch
