Space Jockeys are running to there ship.

Oh yeah, they're all linked. The blue guy, jockey suits and xeno have much more than a passing resemblance to each other. More like members of the same family.

you may be right but we must remember that the trailers are out of context we know there is a ship and we know there is a temple of sorts what we dont know is were the characters are in the imagery given in trailers are they on the ship or in the temple????? the urns appear to be in the temple the telescope/blaster ray/ spacejockey cryo chamber appears to be on the ship but who really knowss??????? sir ridley can you respond??

Why didn't they destroy the human ship before it ever had a chance to land, if they just wanted everyone dead? What if that hologram is an older recording.....perhaps, [i]much[/i] older?

Myself i think that those guys in the Holograms are long dead before Prometheus arives and their is just one Engineer left alive and about. I would also assume that the Xeno was created before Prometheus lands on LV223 and that the Xeno plays a massive part in why those Hologram Space Jockeys are in a rush to get away or escape and why we see loads of Dead Space Jockeys.

I'm still not convinced there is more than 1 "temple" in this. You see mounds in the trailer, but they aren't as prominent as the main one that they explore. Maybe living quarters or something like that.............?

@BigDave Given [i]what we've actually seen[/i], I think your conclusion makes sense. We've seen at least as many ( apparently ) dead SJs, as ( apparently ) living examples. It [i]would[/i] open up an entirely new avenue if they'd been wiped out by an even more powerful race, but again, given what we've actually seen, I wonder if their own technology didn't simply get the best of them. Any suggestion of that kind of inevitablility, would definitely work in the "Alien" universe. On the other hand, we haven't seen all that much, so who knows?

@Cypher That star map seems to indicate a significant chunk of space. Maybe they "handed out invitations" elsewhere.

Yes well i did a while back give a theory that would indeed explain. 1) No Xenos in this movie 2) Dead Jockeys 3) Only few/one survivour Jockey 4) The Derelict Parked on LV426 And a few others.... but my theory had one major hole... that was when Ridley said this movie would show how the Mommy meets Daddy now i assumed he meant the Xenos Parents/Creation and maybe Shaws Baby. As my theory was that one of their experiments or something they was messing about with all but wiped them out? Maybe also some Indigenous lifeforms wiped them out? Or maybe some other Engineers Bio Weapon Wiped them out. I have a feeling that the dead Jockeys are linked to the Xeno in some way and that the Derelict in Alien was the process of getting rid of the threat to another location or maybe the bringing of said threat to LV223.

Plotwise it would be reasonable and more exciting if the crew encounters at arrival at the temple signs of a huge massacer on the SJ´s..( dismembered SJ) .Then David is activating the hologram and older recordings where they see the fleeing SJ´s . After that they get infected by the snake and hell breaks loose..

David may be with a hidden agenda ( of course programmed into him by Weyland and gang). Who knows, his being synthetic may work to his advantage, since the things in the urns may affect real living beings only. Whatever he did triggers all the mayhem, and he possibly comes clean in the end.

My thoughts? Sorry, but can't get beyond "there" and "curtain".
