Interesting Piece on Pilot Chair

Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me. If you zoom in on the pilot chair there is a piece what we would say is the head rest. Interestingly enough the whole chair and telescope(if that's what it is) looks very mechanical. But that one piece looks very fleshy to me, definitely different than the whole make up of the chair. What the hell is it?

If thats what you call it. Im guessing this is where the bio suit plugs into the chair to fuse the suit and the chair together. It was just rigidy looking, as if something was torn from it. That made it odd looking to me.

Ya, I would have to agree with you on that.. looks like it fits into the back of that "guy" in the scene... lol. After viewing that scene (not the first time), I noticed that he is right at the control center that is in the "Star Chart", room, I think that may have been noticed before tough. Not only that, but the floor is moving back as well..

Where do you see the floor moving back? The scene happens too quickly for me to see the floor moving. I can see what you say about that piece maybe fitting into the back of his suit right between where his shoulder blades would be.

It's the same scene with the "head rest"... lol. I always thought that the camera was just moving in a circlular direction.. but its the floor that is moving as well.

That derelict ship which breaks every aerodynamic rule in craft design is not really a ship. It is a living but dormant organism, kinda like a fly-trapping carnivorous plant (see below). The Nostromo crew inadvertently walked into its trap. Of course, Ridley has a different idea: the ship is a biological weapon bomber. Then again, he could be leading us through misdirections in a project shrouded with so much secrecy.
