Post Deletion

BM, Ma fingers is hovering of the post deletion button. Just kidding. We don't delete posts. Atleast not that I know of,but then again I'm a noob to the staff position. We help with link mistakes, lock repeat threads, ban, and just overall keep a decent atmosphere for people to express what they want (within reason). Regards, Rick

Members have the option to edit their own messages, not delete threads or posts. It's for the sake of the conversation really. If you no longer want your post there, simply edit it and remove the content and then we can delete it, but if we granted every member access to delete their own threads, it would just cause confusion I think. Especially with how quickly threads get replies to now, it would confuse people. The edit feature allows you to go back and fix any errors you may have accidentally made.

I'll consider it. Replies I'd be willing to allow member deletion, but not threads. Especially because threads posts here get replies within minutes and it wouldn't be fair to other members to just delete a topic and all their replies as well. But I will consider posted replies to threads to be deleted.

Thats what they do over at epicgames.com, you can delete any post/reply you have made except for the original post that started the thread.

I also promised the guys I would get rid of the accidental double posts as soon as I am able to. Thanks for all the updates BH. It helps a lot.

Maybe, but bottom line is, the guards need their guns. I'd rather prepare for the worst than wait until its too late. Like that one spammer who registered last month, posted about 20 threads all on useless junk. Nothing to do with Prometheus. I was out of the office for that hour when it took place. Now that we have staff, I can rest easier knowing that I've got eyes on the site even when I'm not online.

Exactly. As far as I know both Spartacus and myself have no authority as of right now to do such things. Bug Hunter is busy updating and improving this wonderful site. Overtime things will come together. Were simply "Staff" and thats all we want to be. We want to regulate and overlook the sight to insure the best possible discussions and forum usage here on prometheus-movie.com!
