MemberOvomorph01/27/2012Surely if he gets Shaw pregnant, and this results in something that could start the alien race, surely he'll be like a father/god to these creatures, elevating his status and importance in this film and perhaps the whole alien genre!? (the xeno's we see are effectively the baby he and Shaw made/started together).
I hope this is not the case.
I much prefer Shaw becoming impregnated from the SJ's when she was abducted/sweeped away to them (perhaps in some experiment? hence the 'please' bit in the teaser video), she comes back and infects Holloway, which in turn results in his transformation into some bad humanoid attacking the crew (i.e. something temporary), as opposed to Holloway infecting her. Because surely if Holloway 'started' the pregnancy then he could become a central figure to the film, second to perhaps Shaw?
I don't want to see Holloway, seemingly a minor crewman in this film, become the daddy of the alien race! Just doesn't sit right with me. Opinions? Cheers

MemberOvomorph01/28/2012cant see any pregnacy being conceived normally in this movie (just speculating) - rather some form of violation as in keeping with nature of the beast
if pregnancy/procreation is one of the main themes of the movie, im sure it will be given real nasty treatment - destined to make you wince in your seat.

1) he endured long and problematic relactionship with Shaw
2) he belive in science
3) he will have to swallow alot
4) something painful happen to him ( the brief trailer scene )
i think the whole idea of HAlloway and Shaw being the father and mother of the aliens is scary and not in a good way ...i hope it will be not ..even because is pretty clear that there will not be classic xenomorphs in the movie ...the key should be the facehugger .
The big question is how Shaw become pregnant ( if she is shaw of course , we think she is ) ...

MemberOvomorph01/28/2012I really don't think Holloway is going to be a major character in this one. And I pretty much like the idea that Shaw could be the one who infects Holloway, not the other way around. But I doubt this is going to happen because, if Shaw gets infected/impregnated before him, then I suppose she should die too or mutate earlier. I believe she sticks in her human form to the end or transforms/dies in the very end of film.
